He was built different
You're not wrong on the first "scream" being 'unhealthy', the singer, M.Shadows has reportedly had multiple vocal chord surgerys. But man his voice is one of the more unique sounding out there.
@kylester0055
Жыл бұрын
He's only had one surgery, and that was before City of Evil. Everything he does is healthy, his problems stem from touring too much. The man sang shows for 10-12 straight years while recording albums in between. The voice can only handle so much before you need a break. He's come back recently after a few years and he's been absolutely killing it.

Still to this day I reckon this is there best ever concert. I wish I could have gone to it :( The sound was on point and everyone sounded so good!! Jimmy The Rev Sullivan one of the most creative musicians I ever heard, and one of the best drummers, R.I.P
The Rev was one of the most talented musicians. He is credited for a lot of the writing of these songs. He played keys on their tracks, vocals, wrote guitar rifts, and of course his technical drumming. RIP to the GOAT
Theyre formed in 1999 and this was in 2008, I was at this show left side of the stage in the pit behind the barricade i was 15 years old and it was my first time seeing my favorite band of all time not realizing it was the most iconic moment of their career I live 15 mins from them and ive hungout with them a couole times! @@Mapleman_9009 none ot the STST songs were played in the LBC and for WTF, we only got Second Heartbeat and Unholy Confessions. It was very much driven by City of Evil and self titled. It chills my spine when i hear "the rev" voice. RIP foREVer
the vocalist in this band is known to be one of the more healthy vocalists. he blew his voice out in 2018 but that was due to overuse, not harmful technique. the actual screaming is a lot quieter than youd imagine. there are a lot of really fascinating videos on the science behind it which i recommend!
R.I.P. James "The Rev" Sullivan. Genius, talented and eccentric composer, drummer and singer.
These guys are one of 4 absolutely life-defining bands for me. And they were the first of those four, I was OBSESSED as a teenager. Got into them in 2005 during their second album, got their logo tattooed in 2008 after their 4th album, and still a fan to this day. R.I.P The Rev, will never forget the day he passed.

Very good reaction. This entire concert is worth watching. I cant think of a better way to be introduced to A7X.
Randomly found this through my recommendations and you're in for a hell of a damn good journey! This show in particular (at least to me) set a new precedence for what metal shows / live concerts can achieve, it's forever cemented in history for being one of the best damn live shows ever - when Matt, Syn, Johnny, Zacky and of course Jimmy (The Rev) Sullivan can sound like they're in studio but live, i would've given anything to have gone to this show! Rest in peace the legend himself (The Rev), if he were alive today, he'd be easily the best drummer period, up there with Joey Jordison from Slipknot! Looking forward to more of your reactions from the LBC!
Oh yeah, i am here for this. Subbed, you are very fun person and have a great reaction

First time here! Love your reaction, please do more Avenged Sevenfold, they're insane song writers, their melody and lyrics are sooooooo good. You should listen to M.I.A, Save me, Danger Line, The Stage (music video) and So Far Away (music video) This Live in the LBC is 10/10 as well, every single song is played perfectly
you're so pretty Raya, and I love the way you do the reaction💗

She crushing so hard in this vid lol, great reaction
Amazing analytics, as a non-musician but huge A7X fan I gained a lot of insight from you, you're naturally funny. Good job! RIP The Rev
Stumbled upon this video and now I'm going to have to go pull out my live in LBC dvd 😂. Your comment about Matt's scream in at the start is correct. He's since had 2 vocal surgeries. Jimmy (drummer) was an alien on earth, in my opinion. He blessed the earth with 28 glorious chaotic years before passing away. Seeing them live is never a disappointment!
High notes vocal from the rev is so amazing , after he pass away they use recorder for the rev part. Beside for tribute to him , i think its hard too copying him, foREVer 🌹
You're reactions are hilarious. And yes, the Rev was amazing.
Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan was from another world... Whwn i saw him on the screen i cried, and when he sang i sobbed!! So many emotions rn!!! R.I.P. 🙏
I bet jimmy would appreciate the statement of "whatever drummer dude, you're magical"
This might actually be my favorite song from the band. There's such HUGE energy in the groove and everything just feels powerful as all heck. It makes me feel like I can punch through solid steel whenever I hear it. I'm really glad you're enjoying a lot of these tracks that I've enjoyed. It's infectious to see new fans bloom in real-time. :) Speaking of unhealthy, Matt Shadows did INDEED eventually have to change how he sings/screams because he was tearing his throat apart after a while. His work on the album The Stage is very different, but if it keeps his voice healthy, that's a good thing. Also, RIP Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, gone too soon from an accidental overdose (painkillers + alcohol). One of the greatest rock drummers I'd ever had the pleasure of hearing in my lifetime, and one of the best songwriters in the genre at the time. If for no other reason, checking out Avenged's older material is worth it just for The Rev's parts, alone. \m/ foREVer \m/
I got to see them live in Atlanta for the 2008 Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour. Miss the rev
I love the old avenged . No matter what new music they make I will always come back to the earlier stuff as it's amazing and also the rev was unbelievable. Always loved these guys
You are so expressive, funny, smart and pretty at the same time, i kinda like watching ur reaction ❤
"Whatever drummer dude, just be magical" Oh boi
Sor Far Away, Little Piece of Heaven, Afterlife and This Means War are a must for sure
RIP Rev. Damn you're missed. You were amazing and the best drummer ever.
The Rev (the drummer) was pure talent. Insane drummer and amazing singer. Going off on the drums while having your head twisted to the side to sing... damn. May his soul rest easy.
The drummer was one of his kind. He was the one who made "Afterlife". Give that song a listen. you won't regret it.
The Rev was next level with his playing style he knew how to add complex patterns to his playing and then pulls it back to standard patterns he was a master of his craft being the backbone that drives the songs and then to sing on top of that hell he was taken away from us too soon god bless you Jimmy and thank you for inspiring me and millions of others to pick up a pair of sticks and experience the joy of what the drums brings
Hears hoping you do all the concert as reactions, it's some of their best live work

Love you the rev❤
You hear that jimmy? You’re magical! Couldn’t have said it better myself
i would trade so much to witness this concert live. I get all this rush and excitement everytime i hear them.
Watching a great drummer hit them all ( the entire drum set ) at speed and tempo while singing and never missing a note or octave during live a performance. I'm talking the band The Warning, three sisters from Mexico one of the most talented trio rock bands ever, the middle sister of the three Paulina Villarreal ( 20 years old ? ) is one of the best I've ever seen who can beat her drum set into submission never missing a beat and singing at the highest ranges and lowest howls ever. All three sisters with that uncanny sibling harmony is something to see and listen to. Just saying The Warning is a rock band that you need to review/react to on your channel, a win win for all. Love your review/reactions.
This entire concert is absolutely amazing!
obsessed w your admiration for jimmy 🥺🥺🥺
On that first initial scream, you are 100% correct. Before this album, he would scream like that in almost all of their songs but his doctor came back and told him to knock it the fuck off or he would cause permanent damage. It's the main reason why they went from almost pure screamo to more melodic
avenged sevenfold - a little piece of heaven live lbc reaction 🙏🙏❤️❤️
Can't wait for the other listens!
They put on the best live show I've ever seen in my opinion. Every time I've seen them their props, fire, lighting, and what not are insane
