Asians can make precision too... they can be very dedicated to their job... the reason the Chinese make crap is that we accept their crap...

Japanese movements are very good. Sankyo still makes music box movements. They just aren't as common as they were twenty years ago. Although Yueng movements are also good and probably are the best of the Chinese makers.
