@@firstname9954 zuko was a symbol for change and peace while iroh got his name for the way he fought in wars. iroh's name brought fear to some people cause he was a different man during war. It kinda sends the wrong message when zuko the new symbol of peace is given the same title of a man who was once a major part of the war on other nations. Not saying it doesn't have a nice ring to it

The other dragons seem to have a more typical Asian design. Druk seems to be more European. I could be reading too much into it, but it could be a symbol for how industrialization has affected the world of Avatar, the same way European industrialization impacted Asia in real life in

My thought was the golden egg was druk ofcourse in the episode the sun warriors. And dragon egggs could only hatch with sozins comet. This explains why no new dragons are born the last 2 decades or so. And makes also sense. Dragons can live very long and become old. Just look at the sizes rhan and shaw are immense . After sozins comet and zuko becoming firelord. I think the sun warriors saw the egg hatching and were told.by rhan and shaw thet it would be great as a guide for zuko. Just as every firelord till sozin had one.

It's especially odd because Druk is a western style dragon save for its head, and Ran and Shaw are both Eastern style Dragons! As well as most other dragons in the series are depicted as the latter!

He implies that there hasn’t been a character to redirect natural lightning. Are we really not gonna talk about the fact that Iroh did exactly that and was shown doing so in this video

i really really really want to see an airbender do more "sound bending" i feel like it could be a specialized skill and refined as opposed to just being a loud speaker. shockwaves to block fire/water attacks? vibrations to obliterate boulders? maybe even ultra hearing? its evident airbenders know the potential....aang's silent jumps and that loud speaker moment in korra are just a couple examples of this.

Anyone else only just realize that zukos hairstyle is a direct symbol of his mindset... The "top knot" is their sign of honor... And thus his hair slowly changing shows that he slowly developed... Idk if it's a coincidence but if it's not... Wow

That gem that Aang and Zuko picked up Was probably Druks egg since it looked as tho it was a egg

I think I understand the colors of the dragon, the white dragon represents Airbending because it resides in the spirit world. Both the dragons and Airbenders have strong spiritual energies and connections. The green dragon represents Earthbending, residing in the mountains, they are grounded and don't fly as much as most other dragons have been seen to do, preferring the ground. The blue dragon represents Waterbending, its movements are fluid and flowing like water. And its flames are colorful, just like a colorful object being reflected in the waters. And last but not the least, the red dragon, representing Firebending. It attacks ferociously just like most Firebenders during the 100 year war. Also, in the scene where Aang and Zuko were in a flaming vortex, most of the normal Firebending colors come from the red dragon's side.

Iroh *did* control lightning from the sky at one point

Within chinese mythology Dragon colour can dictate age. Green (as far as im aware) is supposedly the youngest type but could well have been changed for the series.

True but Thunderbenders can still be a thing just but by the Airbenders as fire style technique

If Druk had control over thunder it would be sound based right? not exactly lightning based Druk could use the sound from his wings to create thunderclaps

Druk is pronounced as "Dru-uk' or "Druu" not drug or drunk. Meaning Dragon/Thunder Dragon. They are the dragons of Tibetan & Bhutanese Mythology including regions influenced by Tibetan Culture (Sikkim & Ladakh).

Anyone else notice that Zuko's dragon looked very different from Ran & Chaw? It almost looks like a blend of an eastern dragon & western dragon, so perhaps it's the grandchild of Ran & Chaw. Perhaps their offspring had an egg with a western dragon.

Imagine a thunder dragon mounted by a water bender

You keep on referring to thunder as though it's a real thing like a tangible thing. Thunder is just the sound of the lightning breaking the sound barrier. unless you're using thunder as a concussionary device to generate sound at your enemy, That "sounds"(pun intended) more like a wind technique that can be combined with that of a fire bender who can conduct lightning. When lightning happens in the atmosphere thunder happens after it. Lightning is what brings the thunder. I have trouble identifying Thor as the God of thunder because unless it's really low atmospheric, like in Oklahoma, it doesn't necessarily cause any damage. It's just sound. Atmospherically low it can rattle or even shatter windows or do much like what a sonic boom from a jet can do. Lightning would be more of the element that Thor would be God of.

10:55 How would the ability to bend lightning ever allow a dragon to fly at nearly light speed?? Bit of a reach if you ask me. Air resistance would shred anything at that speed in the atmosphere, and no creature's brain could ever control that speed. Not saying I don't want to see it happen, I'm just asking for some evidence for this point about dragons travelling at light speed lmao

Druk is actually the thunder dragon in bhutanese myths. Druk is what bhutanese call dragons in general. That's where Bhutan get the name "The land of the thunder dragon" from. Even the national flag is represented by "Druk" the thunder dragon

I think that when Drukk Channels lightning and has lightning in its body it would transform to the person on him and let the person on top bend the lightning but even more than normal bc its a dragon thtat the lightning came from so its stronger

I’d have daggers or Bow N Arrow thunder based. Using Bows and lightning, u can be precise and speed up the shot. Using a bow is like lightning bending, you breathe, concentrate and let go. It’s perfect 🤗

Druk actually means "dragon" in my country and locally our country is called "drukyul" meaning "land of the thunder dragon". I was very surprised when i got these parts of the series. Also its pronounced "Druu" but yeah, we messed up with the spelling and now it sounds like "drug" or even "drunk" at times lol.

This is just conjecture, but what if Zuko's dragon used its horns to conduct and amplify electricity, like a Jacob's Ladder, and discharged the lightning from its claws and the tip of its whip-like tail? This would ensure that the Dragon can always keep an eye on its adversary while delivering precise, electrical strikes. Wouldn't it? After all, lightning benders don't usually attack their opponents with their ears or eyebrows. There are those 3rd eye weirdos, but they're an exception
