Sokka tribe
This is the exact same concept as chivalry. The code of knights was developed to remind the strong to respect and protect the weak. Teaching males how to be men is more useful than calling them toxic just for being who they are. I like how you show that strength is not just physical, but that there are other forms as well. That is why the Blessed Virgin Mary can conquer the devil after all.
5:40 is why sokka had to lose the meteorite blade. It proved his mastery was his interdependency with the blade, not the blade itself.

I think Sokka was always the most courageous character in the show in his own way, he was a non-bender, so he was more vulnerable. Sure, Zuko and Aang directly stood up to a tyrannical empire, and probably faced death more impendingly, but they were far better equipped to fight that kind of power than Sokka was. Sokka was the definition of an ordinary man trying to do the right thing. And that's how change occurs: ordinary people follow their morals and values despite all the odds and come out on top.
