This show is extremely well written

Here is a basic run down. Sokka-15 Katara-14 Aang-12 (112 technically because of his century stuck in the iceberg) Zuko-16 All the bending arts are based on different styles of martial arts. I don't remember which martial art is which element off hand, but it's an easy Google search. You are either born a bender or you aren’t. The element you can bend, if u are born with the ability, is dependent on which country you were born in. There are rare exceptions, but, for the most part, all earth benders are from the earth kingdom, fire benders from the fire nation, water benders from the tribes in the north and south poles, and air benders from the air nomads that have 4 temples one for each cardinal direction. The big reason the fire nation is winning is because they are far more technologically advanced than the other civilizations. Not necessarily because fire is innately superior. The reason aang seems to win fights easily, especially early in the series, is because airbenders have been extinct for 100 years, so most, if not every person who knew how to fight airbenders has died by now. I will reveal more as the show goes on. I don't want to spoil anything the show hasn't told you yet.
