Music for the next Avatar films won't be the same without him behind it

people always complain about this movie not having any originality in the story, which i can understand. But i think we as a society forget about our dark history and how this stuff STILL happens to this day. This is a reminder to stop repeating the history of violence and war. Its very hard to come up with a new way to tell this kind of story, and James Cameron found a perfect new way of telling this kind of story.

So true! I remember coming out of the theater after seeing it - the cars and parking lot looked so strange. In my lifetime only the original Star Wars and Fury Road have been as immersive. Wish we had more movies like this.

I don't hate it _the movie..._ I just hope to all the Gods that Humans don't stumble upon a planet like Pandora... And if they do, that it is _far_ tf out of range.

Not having seen this for several years, OMG, the music... at 1:25 as the electronic pads and percussion fades in, replacing the native chanting ... the soaring chord progressions ... it is sooo beautifully done!

@@birdsofafeather8368 Oh wow! I thought I had heard that music 'somewhere else' but wasn't sure. Strange how The Time Machine was a relatively forgettable movie - but somehow managed to have a rousing soundtrack at the same time.

This is the most beautiful scene in movie history, I cant describe the beauty enough with words, its like Im flying with them

I find it so hard to believe this movie came out in 2009

This clip alone depicts James Cameron's genius: the amazing combination between incredible vfx, character's emotions, flying sensation like any other film, nature sentation like any other film, imagination at its finest (waterfalls coming from floating islands, beautifully designed and coloured creatures, etc) all combined with the majestic score of James Horner.

The most visually beautiful film ever made and the best music. Everything is amazing. 🌏

This gets me every time. Visuals, music, acting, perfect balance, ecstatic perfection.

Her smile is so beautiful!!!!!

It's a nice touch how their hind legs are also wings, gives them a Microraptor vibe

Mountain Banshees look so beautiful. I would love to live in a world like this.

FANTASTIC BEAUTY

Damn, they work perfect.

James Cameron: the visionary The masterful change in camera angles and zoom, showing not only how the character feels flying for the first time. The amount of background layers showing how vast this world is. The freedom and nature sensation; all perfectly combined with the beautiful score. Which starts soothing and you can hear the air, and then, as Jack becomes more confident, it elevates. (I'm not even mentioning the CGI on the avatars: for those who think that this MASTERPIECE is "good" just because of the CGI. The EXECUTION of such things is not a easy task, you.. so called "critics"...) You can take a lot of elements from this work of art, but I believe two of its most important (and perfectly depicted) are: first, the love and respect for nature itself; and second, the realization of what your true place in the world is. As Jack finally accomplished.

For me the best scene of the film and one of my favourite scenes ever 😀

Who else of hyped for Avatar 2! It focuses more on the seas of Pandora so I can’t wait so see what awesome creatures live in the Pandora oceans!

Astounding mix of scenes and music really captures the expression of the moment in the film where they fly together for the first time ,, Avatars "reflective" expression has its roots in history of our own Native peoples ,, there are 5 clans or tribes represented in the Avatar universe (there is also a refection in the 5 flying in formation on Ikran) ,, take a look at the History of the Haudenosaunee and the story of the great peacemaker as well as the Role "Jake Swamp" plays in there culture as well as some interesting hidden real world history (examples on youtube) thank you very much for sharing .

I watched this and the very next night I had the best dream of my life,I was riding on a banshee and got to see Pandora with this music in the background.

If you are looking for the music that is put over this scene, it is a song called Eloi from The Time Machine (2002). It is in the soundtrack by Klaus Badelt. Eloi and the song Godspeed sound similar, but I believe that Eloi is the song in the video. Avatar is one of the joys in life for me. I’m in love with this song too.

AVATAR got rereleased on September 23rd actually just in time for AVATAR: The Way of Water! (I don’t know how much longer it will be out…) but if you do go see it right after the main credits (not the super long rolling credits but the short quick ones) they have a scene from the upcoming sequel shown as well!

@@Merryianna No one stated otherwise. And also it has to do with what the creator aims to show or where he focuses to. For example James Cameron, even from the Titanic gave the impression that he counts more on background planning and research as well as powerful scenes instead of complicated plot or overly complicated characters. It is a different approach that's all. Not all series and movies need to have Death Note like plot twists to be good. Avatar as well as Titanic had very simple plots and sometimes even cliché characters but the impact the scenes had for us, such as the destruction of Hometree or the sinking of the Titanic were unquestionable as well as the inspiration behind them and the research he did for them. This is just his approach.
