It has been annoyingly, frustratingly, tediously, unacceptably…outrageously too long since the first movie…to the point I really lost all interest in them. Plus, looking at the cg environment brings the prequels into mind, I hope the new ones have more real sets, or the cg is to a point it actually looks photo real…. They need to use the volume!

It's amazing the amount of work and material behind such a film, especially the many details that are not so noticeable at first! You don't even realize it when you watch these films.
25:11 The way Michelle Rodriguez described that technology was spot on. Excellent tech.
This is my favorite film, I am looking forward to the sequel to it.

i mean.. this was before 2009. the technology still felt so new and i bet the resources were limited. cgi hasn't well mastered etc. but this movie turns out as the highest grossing movie of all time for nearly a decade. super magnificent masterpiece. i mean.. how could? this whole production is beyond crazy.
Man it would be awesome to work on big productions like this one

All it requires to make a film, especially to realize one of the most fascinating franchise is huge. All these effects, the motion capture, VFX, the making of CGI. A lot of details you find amazing while watching movie and when you learn the making of, you feel blown away. You're thinking : They did all this for a 3 hours movie. It seems more complex than you could think. At the time of writing this comment, we now have avatar 2 and it's even more amazing for what it accomplished 13 years later.
Avatar 2 has announced 🤘🔥🔥🔥

This is why James Horner was the best choice, his musical skills and way he worked with nature and the native dialect was beautiful. And why it’s so moving in the movie. Really brought it to life. Thank you Jim

I think old sound boy is flatout lying. the raptor sound bites are exactly the same, rekons he started from scratch and used a combo of different sounds!!?? yeah bullshit. and he even sneaks the T Rex roar for the thanator (black cat thing) and mentions nothing about it lol.
