Just purchased the A3 bottom loading model and as soon as I turned it on and let it run, it started leaking from the inside about minute or two after installing. Found this video and discovered one of the wires for the cold tank float valve was severed. Repaired it and it now runs great. It's a astonishing that the company allows these to be shipped out with such a critical defect!

I've had this water dispenser for like 4 months and it doesn't make my water cold anymore. The water is actually not even room temperature, it's warm!

My cold water won’t dispense any more. I don’t know if its cooling or not but it will not dispense. I will have to check is the button assembly was disconnected.

For those having intermittent issue of the water dispenser stopping pumping after running empty and putting a new bottle. It’s air in the waterline that locks the pump. You’ll have to unplug the dispenser remove the top cover and then remove the cold water tank cover. The centerline hose connects to the bottle. From the cold tank cover you’ll need a straw to siphon water from the bottle. Once you do that the pump should now be primed and when you connect power it will suck water from the bottle and you’ll be ready to go.

mine would always dispense at first then after a day it stops dispensing, i just took the cover off like the instructions said and its completely frozen, may have damaged the unit by forcing the cover off while the components were stuck in ice... seems it always freezes, no wonder it keeps tripping my breaker

I still see white flakes after I cleaned it with vinegar solution. Will the self clean feature fix the problem?

Had mine for 6 years and I maintain it. No issue so far

None of my dispensers are working. Had the unit for about a year and a half. First the Cold stopped. It didn't bother me because I liked the Cool water anyway. But now the Hot water is not working and I the cool water is trickling out. This cooler is too expensive to have these issues this soon.

Same! Cold water stopped being cold after a year and a half. Their response. It's out of warranty, buy a new one. 😢 Horrible company!!!

I literally just plugged mine in. Brand new. And it’s making a weird noise. Not the normal water dispenser noise. But it sounds like there’s a cell phone vibrating inside of the tank or something. It’s constant.

My primo warer depencer started flashing had to reset it now i am not getting hot water or cool water. Have had it for less then a yr.

What kind of material holds the hot water?

Water is leaking out of the drainage outlet in the back. What is happening?

My Avalon dispenser seems to dispense water extremely slow. especially from the cold side. I have a similar one at work and like most others it fills my water bottle in about 10seconds. My dispenser at home takes about a full minute to fill the same bottle. Any suggestions?

Hi Steve, I bought a brand new and I had the same of your issue. Try to check the electric floating valve shown in minute 04:00, if the valve will not go up it will not give signal to activate the hot and cold and their lights will come ON. Try it and I hope it will work.

Mine works all except the cold water. It does not cool.

This video does not address the actual problem which could be multi faceted. In fact the video promotes changing the tank lid ( therefore selling the part in question), when replacing a wire would have been sufficient. Besides, not all coolers have a frozen tank (that is more the result of a poor design).

Water pump randomly decided to keep pumping causing an overflow inside the tank. How do I prevent this?

I found that if the hose is twisted then it over fills. Now you can't tell if its twisted because the hose looks like its supposed to rotate 360, I just spun the hose and tried it until the water stopped spilling. Was a nightmare

Can you use a 4 gallon...first time I put in it clicked when replace with other does not click

This wasn't much helpful because my avalon water dispenser still wont pump any water out. I suspect the pump to be damaged. All hoses seem secure and the white lid to the water chamber is fitted in but water still wont pump out. Only 3 months of use. Please help. @avalonwater

I think I fixed this same issue. I have had intermittent problems where the pump would not run. My guess is that this was an airlock in the pump. With the power unplugged, I took the top cover off and removed the cold water lid. I siphoned water through the center feed in the lid (I stuck a straw in it and sucked the water through from the bottle). I quickly put my finger over the feed in the lid to keep the water from flowing back down. I closed the door, plugged it back in and water started to flow. We'll see how long this fix lasts. I have noticed that this airlock issue seems to happen if someone tries to get water out when the red light is on. Once the red light comes on I like to stop and change the bottle. If you drain the tank dry you could end up with an airlock.

My hot water is not duspensibg pipping hot anymore can someone help with this issue please?

I simply cannot get the top off to inspect the cold tank! It’s stuck at the front. I tried lifting slightly and sliding it back like in the video, stretching the sides thinking it might be clipped in, but nothing! Cannot get the top removed. Can anyone help? Is there a trick to it?

Mine was the same way, just lift slightly and use a little force to pull out straight back. It's almost like a "snap" feature.

@@7535ale it can not be replaced, unfortunately. According to support service something inside the cooling system went bad and no way to fix it. So needless to say I wasted a lot of money on that for nothing.

You can tell this company doesn't know shít about maintenance. You NEVER let anything hang using electrical wiring as it'll wear and may even break the wiring causing you more headaches to an already shîtty product. "Avalon. The world's most reliable water coolers" 😂 MY AŠS!

POS.. I exchanged mine because the pump started not shutting off when the bottle was empty. The new one started doing that after the first bottle.

I'm just under a year with my noisy machine. I called customer care, but they just tell me to visit a site or email them. The machine constantly primes (That's what it sounds like) 2-5 times per minute. I'll be in the living room and hear it, PURR a few seconds basically non stop for the last 7 months. If anyone is wondering what sound I'm talking about... just drain all the water from the tanks in the cooler without a replacement bottle...then fill up a bottle and stick it in the cooler and listen to the pump charge/prime the cooler tanks. That's what I hear on average.... 40 minutes an hour round the clock. Now on my 2nd set of new filters and I have ZERO good things to say about this machine since the filters are so expensive.

The cold water is too cold to get ice in the water chamber and no water could come out, but your machine design doesn't have a button to tune the temperature. This is the machine design flaw.

@@weixin20002000 Now, the cooling doesn't work at all, with the green light of cooling flashing. It's a signal that the machine is getting to its end of usage. I don't know how to repair it since there is not any message online.

This is kind of trash! So what are the troubleshooting steps if water is trickling out (as if the spout is clogged)?

There are no instructions for properly activating the bottle and connecting the pump. You point this out in two videos and DO NOT give a link, nor is there any video labled as such. Really annoying.

Potential buyers please read these alarming comments. I’ve had my Avalon A5black Bottleless dispenser for a little over 3 years and the unit doesn’t make cold water anymore. There seems to be no fix anywhere. For a unit costing around $230 it should last more than 3 years. Even my old Primo lasted 6 years before it went out. Do not buy Avalon. They are junk.

They are nice, but within 6 months my tank froze up. Can't get cold water out of it. Always freezes. Won't buy this brand again.

I hadn't used it in 9 months until this week, and it's freezing up again on the cold setting, and as of today the cool setting is frozen too. I can't find a thermostat adjustment, and at this point its just trash unless I can somehow get a new thermostat which seems bad.
