As in, the sound associated with music that usually becomes mainstream does not appeal to them. You can say that you don't like metal music, for instance, and that would be completely understandable. There is a "sound" or even just a theme associated with metal music that does not appeal to you. The same can be said of mainstream music. Note: By mainstream, I am talking specifically about pop music. I also know that pop is a diverse genre with many different styles, but there is still a feel associated with many of its "typical" songs that just doesn't vibe with everyone, and that's okay.

You know, the "real" Barbie song has it´s memories and stuff, but THIS has message. I love it, when songs are beautiful AND important for our society.
