AV-200 Refinisher Review, Tub and Counters Refinished

Long winded intro here but I had to, it's been a while and I'm back. Today's video is a professional's point of view on the Avanti av-200, truth be told you can do your everyday business with this machine. Beginners should definitely start before tossing money at more expensive brands. Professionals should buy this to add to the arsenal of tools we already use and save it for a rainy day or start your new guys on this machine.

    Thanks, As a DIYer I found your video very informative. I shot a lot of hammertone and wrinkle finish with high end siphon guns in the day, but know little about HVLP sprayers. This sprayer looks good for the homeowner DIYer like me.

    I actually was standing in Harbor Freight last night, looking for videos on the AV-100. I watched the application speed in a video or 2 for the AV-100, and, before I say this, let me say I have some experience applying coatings and finishes, and spraying them as well. Not an expert, but I get good results. The AV-100 looked painfully slow to me. I caught your first video on the AV-200 while in the store, and that clinched it for me. I loaded up an AV-200 in the cart and made my way to the register. For $60 more than the AV-100, I know I will use this machine on more than one project, and I watched this video the day after I bought the machine, and I am even more confident I made the right decision. Thanks for the videos!

    Hey vic you ain't lying about av200 I've got it an it's a damn amazingly good unit it runs like a demon sprays kiltz like it's water out the garden hose an I'm telling not like you don't know but it's a hell of a good sprayer easy to use easy to lay down paint hell for one fifty an 8 foot by 10 foot in under five mins you can't beat the price or the quality of this unit I love it an from day one it more than paid for it's self who needs a expensive high end sprayer when this unit sprays just as good to hell with leaving it in my truck though for a back up it stays in mine as my main unit

    Thanks for the vids Victor. You convinced me to go out buy the Avanti. I've used an airless for house and finish painting, but this is my first HVLP. I'm going to use mine primarily for furniture refinishing and light stuff using latex mostly. I know the thinning thing, but tip size is my question. The 1mm or 3mm for thinned latex on small work?

  • @MrWatchOutNow

    @MrWatchOutNow

    2 жыл бұрын

    Use the 1mm, the 3mm will spray too much and won’t have a good finish.

    You are a natural speaker/teacher. Make more videos. Reduce the number of missteps (the ones you point out later) by preparing a list of topics in order that you want to discuss then do a clip for each and edit them together. It doesn't have to be all one take.

    This machine is strong enough to not need a thinner, but if you do then use xylene. For the clear it depends on the base(oil, water, poly)
