I couldn’t help but LOL at the part where you can’t figure out the tip too easily, either! 🤣 My husband and I just bought this unit yesterday and we almost got divorced trying to figure out how to get the spray tip in!!! The instructions are not in the manual, rather, on the back of the packaging torn to hell getting the tip out in the first place! I never heard so much cussing come out of my husband.😅 He was trying to shove the tip into the orange spray end of the spray head the way you tried initially at 11:34. He could not figure out why it wouldn’t go in! I finally found the tiny diagrams on the back of the tip packaging and had to yell at him STOP 🛑 and look at this diagram with me before he almost took a hammer to force it in! Oh my God, we had an ordeal with the tip. Thanks for the video and thank you for your service! ❤

You can turn down the pressure when cleaning. Also, remove the tip and guard and put them in bucket of water, then clean out your hose and gun with them off. It will be a quicker and cleaner process.

You are correct that the instructions about the tip are confusing. They are on the tip packaging that you tore up. The nozzle has a notch that you use to insert the tip. Makes it much easier. Great video. Thanks.

Great video and instructions. Just a piece of advice - Use the lid for the 5-gallon pail and use the lid opening and remove the sprayer tip during cleanup. Once the output is clear, that indicates the inside, hose and trigger set is clean - Then you insert the tip and clean the tip. Learnt it a few yrs ago when I sprayed by 2400 sqft basement walls. That was some project. Now I am planning to seal/stain my 350 ft newly installed wood fence.

When priming the gun with paint and cleaning out the hose and gun with water, put on clean setting instead of spray, or remove thw tip all together so you dont make a mess with it spraying into bucket. But i like putting it on clean tip setting and spraying to clean the tip a bit before cleaning like you did with thw handle. If getting lines at the top and bottom of fan turn up pressure when painting. Each oaint different. Great video just passing on some things i learned with mine. Also, always use storage fluid. Keeps seals in the pump good and stops any rusting or freezing of water inside the pump.

Haha tip instructions are on the tip packaging which most people tear up when getting started then cant read haha. Using the tip itself with the little pin end helps for anyone watching. Also helps remove the tip gasket thing as well

For cleaning i use 2 buckets if water. First one i out the suction hose in and clean off the oaint on outside of it then go to fresh bucket of water to flush it. And like others said removing tip helps and makes less mess. But i did the same haha. Thats why these videos are here to kearn others pitfalls

Just found your channel and subscribed. I love your hat and the occasional sound of freedom in the background. I retired in 1995 after 20 years of B-52 and KC-135 maintenance. I bought an Avanti spray gun to use on my Wagner sprayer. Was checking your video to see how well it sprayed before I got it messed up. Looking forward to more of your videos and Thank-you for your service!

Been wanting to get an airless sprayer and this one looks sufficient for my needs. Thanks for making the video. I currently use a gravity fed SATA gun for spraying but I don't have a sufficient compressor so it's either get a new compressor or add this to my arescenal. This is probably the better option. Got a bunch of doors to paint and I prefer a sprayed finish over a brushed finish, although a brushed finish does lend itself to repairs where as a sprayed finish, if a repair is needed, you basically need to paint the entire surface again, unless it's clear coated.....or there is a technique that I don't know. Good video.

Great video, I agree with you, the instructions could be a lot better. However, double check the instructions, you can remove the filter in the gun handle. It’s counter clockwise.

Comes with 515 more of an all purpose. HF sells a few other tips too for really thick or really thin but the tip included should work for most. Some paints like Sherwin Williams red can one coat are really thick and may want the thick thick top to use that. 515 should work for stains and interior and exterior normal water based paints you just get at big box stores or hardware store
