Installed on 2013 F-150 FX4 3.5L Ecoboost. This should apply to all 09-14 F-150s. Works great for off-road lights and accessories.

Good video. Nice to see all the pieces it comes with. You really should fuse the red power cable as close the battery as possible. If there was a short anywhere along that red wire it would short across the battery. Also- If you needed extra power say a 30 amp circuit, you could use one of the lower amp outputs to drive that relay. The panel makes it easy to wire up more things without running a wire to the panel each time. Nothing wrong w using a relay for the new loads if they are rated higher than the outputs on the panel. I like how you mounted it.
Before you drill into your dash, look up phone holders and use that as a mounting solution.

Sounds like that would have been a good idea
Looks good, as you said, not crazy about he appearance of the bracket you had to make, radius the corners and it will dress it up some but the screws showing is what, I think, makes it look "added on". On another note, I would think the breaker should be as close to the battery as possible, that way everything "down stream" of it, ie. the long power cable going to the AuxBeam box, would be protected should it somehow ground out on something. Pretty sure the short power cable that came with it is designed to mount the breaker close to the battery for this purpose?.......

That may be true. But unfortunately, there was no way I could mount it closer to the battery

double sided tape or velcro would have been better than the bracket

you aren't wrong lol. it would be tough to do that because i placed it over that cubby. also, i would be concerned about it shaking loose while offroad.

“L” brackets inside the cubby So you could mount a piece of wood or plastic over the hole Then mount switch panel to that Hope that makes sense and helps out
Is there a similar switched fuse in the passenger fuse box?? I keep finding all hot
@NSQGarage

I would think a lot of them would be switched. Try 41.
The only thing you didn't talk about it, what is important. The LED bars has their own power and relay and wires for the switch.. I was looking to it to see how to re wire those lights to this panel...

I'm confused by your comment. Any of my LED lights aren't using relays anymore. They are just using the switch panel.
Hey did you ever figure out if the fuses are rated to 20 amps like the manual says or 5,10,20 and so on like it says on the actual fuse box ?

Not yet unfortunately. I guess I could try emailing them
I thought relays are supposed to be built in the circuit panel? Did you add any relays, if so where did you put those?
@NSQGarage

I didn't add any. There is just the breaker included on the kit. I didn't see any of the traditional looking fuses under the lid

The newer control boxes are using solid state relays instead of large mechanical relays from what I've seen..

Hello, your video is so wonderful, I also have a rocker switch panel, would you be interested?
Do you cut of all the factory relays for lighting
@NSQGarage

If you are referring to the relays that sometimes come with the aftermarket lights, yes I removed those. The switch panel doesn't bring any of that current into the cab.
Which gauge wire did you use to extend the power cable?
@NSQGarage
Жыл бұрын
I'm not exactly sure. I always try to go slightly larger than the original, if I am running a longer wire. But I think the generic battery wire from the auto parts store would work

That is how mine is set up. However, I think you can set it up so that it goes back to the way it was before you cut power.

These things are garbage. Getting ready to return my second one. Got it installed and lit up blue, confirmed voltage to each fuse on the panel, but when a button is clicked it just flashes a red indicator light and doesn’t turn anything on. Wouldn’t even turn on led pods hooked up to the 30A.
I just got mine hooked up on my Honda talon SXS and it doesn’t work! I get power to the switch and it lights up but no power to the fuses or anything! Worst part is I’ve had this sitting on my shelf for almost a year and I’m finally getting it hooked up so now I can’t send it back dammit! It’s so simple of a unit I can’t believe it doesn’t work! Disappointing

Why not just open the little button controller and then drill a couple holes directly in the back of the button box and THEN attach it to your dash since you actually don’t need a bracket at all. You sure did go through a lot of trouble and now you have holes in your dash and people can see the horrible why it’s mounted, I literally cringed when I saw the exposed bracket and screws in perfect condition dash panels. I can’t believe you wouldn’t have thought to just pop the box open and drill two holes but we’ve a!l had our moments and we all are going to have plenty plenty more… yours is just on KZread. 😂🤣😂

I just used industrial velcro and that kills the need to drill holes. Question, on the auto bright/dim function. Anyway to reduce the brightness manually? I'm getting a terrible reflection on my drivers window at night. Thanks.
I bought the newer one and it doesn’t even work. Save your money and buy a quality unit!
