You must have been in eastern or cenral PA; out here on the western side, everything is hilly and rocky (hammocks may be a luxury for you; they are necessary for us!). I spend 90% or more solo; but when I have a partner (ordinarily my son-iin-law), we can save on weight, because when solo, I carry a saw and a hatchet, but with a partner, we can split that, and some of the cooking equipment. I just turned 69, so this will be my last year in my sixties, but I still love getting out. I am delighted to see you young bucks enjoying the woods; thank you for sharing your experience with us. Stay safe, and enjoy the forest.

Cool. Hammock is a must. Bug net is a must. Our area is beautiful but no good for the ground pounders . Lol. [Hang on]
