I built the Thunder Jet Mustang last week and it runs great. You can't beat $17 for a new, quality slot car. And you don't feel guilty for painting it.

I would have to agree. I bought a lot more then I needed but the idea behind them is Excellent. Great builds!!

The 55 Belair is my fav all time real car...other than a 66 Nova....67 GTO.....oh there are toooo many! This is a sweet car! Runs like most of the Autoworld stuff....pretty good for the price and a ton of different car models and styles...change the magnets...run the tires on duct tape for a second or two and make em real sticky!

Wife and I did this kit last night. Was definitely fun and this video helped so much. Only trouble we had was every time we tried to install the motor the rear brush always kicked out lol.

I also enjoyed building this car. I'm actually very impressed with how nicely it goes together and the best part is that you made it with your own hands. The next Deluxe Pit Kit that is coming out you will build the car and then put the racing shell already painted and decaled on the car! It looks amazing. Thanks for your time Big Mike! Man I bought the Super III and it will not run worth a damn. Trying the Xtraction pit kit to see if it is worth giving to the grandkids this Christmas. Be careful with the small parts and do it on a white cloth/t-shirt for sanity keeping track of the parts. I panicked, one of the springs was not there, I found it way up in the packaging.Whew! I checked all the parts were there in the store, and it worked it's way around while I handled it. This is a great Idea, but man it's hit or miss in our experience with AW cars sadly. Really the same with the AFX Mega G+ cars. Out of the 7 new MG+ cars we bought, one is a rocket ship, and a couple are still needing some tuning or break in I guess. But that is part of the fun, right?

In a drag race Are the xtraction ultra g chassis faster than a 4 gear . Or are the 4 gears faster?

It would depend greatly on the car set up but they do use 4 gears for drag racing

@@slotvalleyracing if they were built identical same arm,mags,shoes,brushes. I'm curious to see because they definatly have a different final drive ratio. 4gear having the extra idler and different size wheels and gear tooth count

In a straight line the 4 gear can turn the tires much faster but I know someone who can not only look into this but he can also speed test on his drag strip..... @stockpilehobbies His name is Steve and he does HO drag racing and long drives!

@@slotvalleyracing gotta love the GM F-bodies from the 60's and 70's! I have owned many Trans Ams but really want to get a 73 or 74 Super Duty that is unrestored.

How come protinker had to follow the instructions when he built his and you didn't???
