¡¡¡Estupendo video!!!

Many years ago, before this new Autostrada was built, I used to go up and down the Aosta valley, on my way between UK and Milano, it was so primitive in those days, when you paid your road tolls, you would get your change in boiled sweets. The Italian lira was totally useless. There was a big customs clearance centre at Aosta, gone now, it is a hypermarket. Days long gone in my youth, in my mid 70's now.

Hope this video brought back good memories for you! I think avoiding modern motorways, and following scenic alpine routes is a great experience. Of course, motorways are an important infrastructure that saves much time to millions of travelers, but still for those who have the time and not a long trip ahead, the alpine passes offer a unique experience.

Do you remember it used to be one road up and down the mont blanc hard work if you were a right hand drive.I used to go bourg en bresse,pont-d'ain belley tunnel d' chat, chambery frejus modane in to Italy. The good old days,I'm 71 now but I'd do it again because I enjoyed the life, and no mobile phones then, phone cards.

There are actually many. For example at 12:00 after exiting the 2nd tunnel, before entering in the 3rd one there is a bridge over the gorge of Montjovet and Dora Baltea river. Then another one after exiting the 3rd tunnel etc. Autostrada A5 crosses the same river at several points of the journey.
