Bullshit! i drive to work by public transportation in Switzerland almost daily. It's dark when I drive to work, and dark, when I come home, people seem unhappy, and when I get a glimpse of the outside from the train, it just looks like any other industrial area. 90% of the economic and adminstrative power is definetly not in the beautiful mountain regions. This area is mostly reserved for rich ass tourists.

It's crazy that me living in Switzerland, I see these types of views every day, and I pretty much don't even acknowledge the beauty of it, while for many people around the world this looks like absolute heaven.

@@joe_cock Honestly I live on the outside of a city. It‘s not a massive city, but has around 100k habitants. The good thing is that if I drive 10 minutes in one direction, I am in the city centre. If I drive 10 minutes in the other direction, I‘m in complete farmlands and nature. That‘s one of the best things about switzerland. But in terms of living…there‘s both upsides and downsides both ways. If you live out in the nature, it‘s just better for your mental health. The air is fresh, there‘s animals, beautiful landscapes etc. If you want to go for a jog, the forest is at your doorstep. Everyone loves nature, but there‘s a lot of things missing when you‘re in the land. There‘s just not that many activities. Especially in Winter. The city offers tons of activities. Whenever you need to buy something or see a doctor or whatever, you‘re muuuuch better covered in the city. Public Transport obviously being much better too. But everything is so crammed in cities. You don’t have space. I think it‘s best to have both. To live not too far off the city, but still have some landscapes, rivers, lakes or forests near you. Switzerland has a problem of too many people leaving farms and moving to cities too.

@@joe_cock Sure thing! I agree! Humans are connected to nature. We need it. The constant stress and tension of living in a city can sometimes get to us.

I know every country has their fair share of problems and often not as perfect as it seems, but man, this place is literally straight out from those beautiful illustrations I've seen in story books when I read as kid and dreamt about. Every frame of this video is worthy to be a wallpaper.

What I do find different in Switzerland is that everything is generously spread out giving it that wide open feeling. The streets in the video look awfully narrow for some reason. Even though I never been hardly anywhere in my life, I find Europe has many wonderful places.

My son of 25 lives in Switzerland now, since a year. He went there to work as a fysiotherapist. I live in the Netherlands, so it is not too far to go there, I have visited him four times in the past year. Each time we choose a destination, mostly a mountain, to go to, walk and hike a little. We also went to Lauterbrunnen, walked the last stretch, it was really breathtaking. Where ever we go, my son drives over these beautiful roads and I can just enjoy every trip we make. Beautiful country and this is a very nice video!

What you see in the video is the countryside of Switzerland, montagne village, peaceful place as you said, where there’s not many people living there which makes it even more beautiful I agree. But take Geneva and Zurich, 80% of the population there isn’t from Switzerland. Mostly all the job in Geneva are taken by French people, for the only reason they are less expensive. Everything can be beautiful if you know how to look at it, that’s the difference :)

Drove from Zurich to Tun. Stayed at a guest house and during the day drove to Interlacken. What a beautiful drive through the mountains. Simply breathtaking. Switzerland is the most beautiful country I've ever visited.

I visited Switzerland,I was so impressed with the order,civism,discipline,organisation,and cleanliness.. Back in the 90's most of my pen pals were Swiss,I enjoyed writing letters to them and vice versa,really nice and friendly people,I wrote an advert in one of the Swiss magazines that I collected when I was in a youth hostel in Basel,and when I went back to Algeria,the Swiss penfriend letters just did not stop coming. What a feeling seeing my mail box full of letters from Switzerland! Warm greetings from Algiers,Algeria to Switzerland and to the Swiss people.

Everything is just so SOOTHING and PERFECT. Feels like a different Planet

My grandmother once told me “ life is not about how many breaths you take , it’s about how many times it takes your breath away” Switzerland certainly does that for me !!

This was also the case in the USA before female suffrage was introduced in the USA. There were valid are reasons why men had the right to vote before women did. If you want to talk about sexism, then why don't women in the USA have to register for selective service? Why only men? Why aren't women's groups and feminists campaigning for equal rights to be conscripted along side men?

The reason why men were given the right to vote in most European countries was because of their requirement to fight in wars. Your example of women serving in the military is invalid. Women were never REQUIRED to serve like men were, and this was the primary basis upon which common men gained the right to vote. Before then only men who were landowners could vote. The burden of conscription meant that the privilege of suffrage was extended to the ordinary working class man. Much later women were granted the same right to suffrage but without having to make the same sacrifice as men.This was the case in Switzerland as it was in most of Europe.

We were in Grindelwald several years ago. We stayed in Wengen but took the tram and gondolas over to Grindelwald. That area and the Lauterbrunnen Valley are some of the most beautiful places you can go to. Stunning scenery.

The countryside over here is really something special. Switzerland is like an allrounder. Zürich is a big city where you can go shopping, Graubünden is a canton where a special language is spoken and here in Interlaken we have beautiful mountains and great places to go skiing. I would love to drive through countryside like this. It's decent enough where I'm from but the small towns out here... well, the main streets you drive through are lined with run-down concrete row houses and that's it. The same in every town, even the one I'm from. It's nice to pass through rice paddies and older small towns with little wooden houses and the tapering roof of its local temple slightly taller than every other building. It's amazing how different the views in Switzerland are.

I've seen your playlist and I've noticed you truly love Switzerland. Don't give up on that dream!! Age doesn't matter for travelling especially when you most likely haven't lived half of you're life. Of course money has to do with this but its not impossible. A couple thousand dollars should take a couple of years considering that you have to spend money on necessities and what not. But you'll get there.

Some people live their whole lives in flat terrain and never seen anything bigger than a small hill. I grew up in Connecticut and didn't see mountains until I drove through the White Mountains in New Hampshire when I was 24 years old (and these are small mountains compared to the alps). The sheer size and scale of a mountain up close is just completely breathtaking if you've never had more than a few kilometers of visibility in any one direction due to buildings and trees getting in the way. It changed my whole perspective on how big this earth actually is.

@Usama Fayyaz It depends on you location. I think 50 - 100$ per night, maybe 35$ for food per person. If you want to get a good view, book a hotel in Spiez or Oberhofen (at the Thunersee "Lake). Dont book in Interlaken as its full of Tourists. If you want to get an excellent view and eat out fancy, try the Giessbach Hotel in the city Brienz 😉

i love snow-capped mountains and living within view of them even better. makes the heart feel good!

I’m 55-year-old, I have been to SWISS in 1995 and stayed 10 days. I took TGV from Paris to Geneva，I bought Euro express ticket, I went to another city everyday. It’s nice trip. I found I’m lucky to have chance to traveling Switzerland when I was young.

When I drove in Switzerland I had to concentrate hard on the road as I often found myself looking at the beautiful scenery!

Switzerland is a lovely nation. I love how tranquil the setting is, and how beautiful the houses/structures are. It's also nice to be able to see the mountains when on a road trip. Thank you for sharing, and have a wonderful day!

Been there 3 times, i wasn't lucky enough to have a sunny day like this one in all 3 times. Being in Switzerland gives you a sentiment of peace and happiness, i wish that someday I'll find a way to live there for good.

Spain is affordable, and is a short flight away from Switzerland. You get sun, great food and joie de vivre. Switzerland is beautiful but boring.

Thank you for recording such a great atmosphere. I have been using this video for a couple of years during my work with elderly people with dementia while they are getting exercise (bicycle etc.) and this is a great way of keeping interest while enjoying a beautiful view. Much appreciated! 👏

I was there in Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen last year! So beautiful! Swiss’ unique architecture is really top notch!!!

This is absolutely beautiful, what a stunning view. I hate myself for not being the travelling type, but if I was then Switzerland would definitely be on my list.

I have been to Switzerland a few times in my military career overseas. Never ceases to amaze me. People seem to live in harmony with nature.

When I was a child I used to read photography book and often paused at photo of Switzerland landscape daydreaming about having a journey to Switzerland. At my 25 y.o finally I can go to Switzerland after I gave up buying new motorcycle. Flying from Jakarta to Amsterdam, Paris, then last stop at Switzerland. I went to city Zurich, Lucerne, and Interlaken. Went up to Titlis and Pilatus. It was very beautiful just like in my dream. City also very clean. What makes it better, local citizen also very friendly and helpful to the tourist. I really recommend Switzerland as one of stop point to anyone who would like to visit Europe. And I never regret the day I gave up buying new motorcycle :)

here is my personal response.. as a swiss local ;) My wife and I went to Bali for our honeymoon.. we stayed for 10 days, visited countless temples, went dining on the local restaurants, enjoyed the beach and were shocked, how beautiful the four biggest world religions can blend so well together without causing.. you know.. useless wars and so on like you may see in other countries.. the locals were way friendlier than here.. the food was waaaay better than here.. so, I guess it all comes down to the experience you make in the short time you stay.. If you would live, let's say for a year in switzerland, I'm pretty sure, some of your recommendations would fade away.. ;-) all that glitters, is not gold..

I've lived all my life in regions where there's at least hills, mounts, and small mountains, and when that's not available I feel there's something missing in my life!!

We also visited Switzerland during Spring. We did a video of our visit. We stayed in Lucerne and travelled by bus to Interlaken adn Grindelwald to see the majestic view of the swiss alps. Its really very nice. Everything is so clean and laid back.Feels like we are in a movie scene. Every angle looks like a postcard. 😍😍😍

We can all agree that switzerland is heaven on earth.

So there's no denying that Switzerland profited from the looted gold that the Germans had. (Aprox. $320m) HOWEVER: This war has costed Germany almost 3 Trillion dollars so even tho they did something wrong, you've got to scale it to understand it
