This is also a lesson for all of us that we should all put watermarks in our work. And I mean a watermark sneaked into the 3D scene itself (like as a stamp on the tyre of a car) or as a billboard etc. So nobody can crop it out. Because otherwise who knows somewhere in the world another Romy is using our work and winning prizes.

I'm shocked to hear that someone thought they could get away with stealing someone else's hard work. Well done to everyone who competed, I was sad to find out that I didnt make it into the top 100, but after seeing everyone elses work, there's definitely reason for that :)

@@faufaufau I thought I'd be smart and use the Unreal Engine to render, but not calculating lighting made a huge impact on my final output, I also didnt focus enough on the vehicle and wasted a tremendous amount of time creating and large environment that ultimately ended up not being shown. Massive congrats on the upcoming baby mate! Hope you guys are safe and sound!
Well. He got his prize at the end - disappointment, shame and bad reputation. And congratulations to Gerrit - simply outstanding work.
Andrey, You should make it a rule that in order to enter the challenge, we have to provide breakdowns, and preferably model stuff ourselves too. Because particularly here, the challenge was to 'make and animate' a car. And while I did read your reply on a random comment saying that you allow premade models, thousands of others might've not. So it's kinda unfair to the ones who were really following the 'make and animate' rule. Alot of the GREAT looking submissions here were only animated, using pre-made models that are available for free on Turbosquid, CGtrader etc. which is not stealing but as I said, it is not fair in the contest. Anyway, I did provide full breakdowns and modelling time-lapse in my submission so...well good for me lol. Hopefully next time the instructions will be more organized and clear. Thanks for hosting such contests and congratulations on having your second child!

Nah bro, creating every assets isn't possible for everyone. Modeling, animating, motion graphics, etc are separate subjects that take years to learn and perfect. A person usually specializes in one subject with a few other relevant ones which help his/her specialization, like Modelling and sculpting together, then animation and rigging together, etc. Andrey Lebrov also made a video about it. kzread.info/dash/bejne/o6COyquigKzKlc4.html

@@craveleaks8102 Yeah and most importantly, you really imagine someone making a high quality video AND also modelling, texturing everything ? The best outcome you would get in a month project like this one would be a car and 2 trees and 1 building at best.

WOW! Unbelievable! Don't feel bad about it. You are doing the right thing. And congrats for your second daughter!
Congrats to becoming a second time dad! That's way more important than worrying about that scam. Cheer up!
I dont think this makes you look bad. You cant be expected to know where each of the hundreds of videos really come from. Clint, recognized the shot by shot copy and the internet recognized the stolen video... It happens, the only one who looks bad is the thief. Great work!, I found your channel recently and Im loving how you explain things, even things I already know I watch the whole video, that says a lot about how good you are at what you do. It was a pleasent surprise to have Clint in one of your videos as well. Real talent attracts real talent. and together you weed out the talentless thieves.
Wow, congratulations, i am also waiting for little brother in next few weeks. Appreciate what you’re doing😊 Wish you success)
Congrats on the new daughter sir! keep up with the good work.
Damn, there are so many $hit around this challenge. A good thing to see the real winner actually got honest work and pay off! :D Wish you a good week sir!
Warmest congratulations on the birth of your sweet baby girl!
Andrey, congratulations on your new child! Do not worry about the scam, we all understand it, the competition was cool, I did not have time to finish the work to participate in it, but I have learned a lot of new things, these competitions are very well motivated to do some cool work, keep doing them. It was also cool to see Clinton from the corridor.
I was like damn in one month this result would take atleast half a year lol
Don't worry about it mate... you're doing a great thing! But, yes... have a few screen grabs and clay renders should help iron out this issue. All the best!
I'm really glad that the real winner of this competition got the recognition, and it was so shameful act that guy made.. By stoling other artist work... . And also Andrey labrov sir,did a great effort and spent his time for this competition great respect sir..
I am so happy you waited on the prize also PROPER KZreadR FOR SURE NEVER STOP
You don't look bad mate!!!...its a real shame that people can behave this way, but, they are few and these competitions are a great opportunities for so many to be tested, to create and to be inspired...Keep it up fella!!! Respect.
Bad people is bad for himself. Doesn't impact on others bro. We all appreciate and respect your community, your CG challenge.❤️
Terrible behavior. Glad it all got sorted out and a legitimate participant was able to win.
Heyy congratulations on the soon to be new family member! Best wishes!
Congratulations for the good news ❤
Thanks for this video, since I might have ran into the same issue. But I think on my side everything turned out to be legit at the end.
Congrats with the new Baby Andrey !
the one dislike is probably the guy who ripped off someone else's work lol
Congratulations on your second child!
Whatever happen, we know you send love to the community! Please everyone, be kind and speak about positive and don't let bad people be in ligth too long. Cheers
It’s not ur fault, those ppl r unbelievable...I believe there is a way to make the competition fair. Looking forward to seeing next Meister !
Congratulations for your second child. 🎉🎉🎉
Sad to see man. Sometimes people are musterious. But gz to Gerrit! Well deserved and have fun with that laptop!
First of all, congratulations on your new baby girl!! Wishing you and your family all the best!! As for the topic of the video, just wanted to comment that stealing never helped actually anyone. I am in entry level position in 3D, and nearly in my 40s, in brief I am "dying" to enter the VFX industry. BUT, when I wish to create something similar to what one has already created, I will ask them if possible, or take the tips/advice and try to create my own, instead of presenting his/her work as mine. Pretending to be the owner of another persons' work in my opinion is so dishonest and unprofessional. Well done for addressing this issues immediately and directly. Your community will always respect you, so don't worry about anything! :)
I appreciate this final video and i hope this will be a lesson to other. thank you
I'm glad that this dilemma was solved quickly and swiftly. Also as well as its not your fault, it's shame on that guy for plagiarising the work of another person who did the original animation as a tribute to Initial-D. Nevertheless you're awesome for doing this! Keep up the great work my dude, love your videos!
Congrats to the family!
Those lines in the end :heart
congratulation for you and your wife have a good time
"Reputation, same as knowledge, is the most valuable thing you will ever have" Agreed!!! 110%
Congratulation to ur second child even if it is one year late. ... :) Brother, ur work is amazing!
it happened man... good you are doing this video to fix it
Man, that really sucks. And it's not your fault, it's just people can be real pricks at time. Happened to smaller channels as well: A winner was chosen. Some random guy wrote the channel owner that he is that guy and sent him an address where to ship the price too. Some people are just disgusting. Anyway, congratz to the real winner. If he modeled everything from scratch for real.. amazing job!
Upcoming congrats, Papa))
Two questions non related with any of this... where can I get a one wheeler? and Is your mic connected to your camera? can you provide where to find it? thank you :)
We appreciate your integrity.
I can’t understand how do you have the courage to steal a masterpiece like this. I mean, the guy had to upload it and everything. How in the process of stealing he didn’t though “Maybe I’m doing something wrong”. It’s just weird, definitely he’s not part of this creative community.

Congrats Comrade .
You should place a preview of the winner's work on your channel with a link to his. I hope one day be good enough to enter one of your challenges. Continue the good work.
Could you make, a video about common mistakes with modelling as beginner? What to avoid (besides n-gons and triangles :P)?
Hey! Can u please suggest me some good laptop for 3d animation and vfx with good graphics card and RAM.
Well Just be glad Justice has been served
Well, its a Miata so it's a well deserved win!
Honestly when I watched that clip on your original video it seemed kinda familiar but I wasn't exactly sure. Considering this, I would love to know how many other clips were actually stolen. I mean the topic of a car in motion is so broad and unspecific that there are millions of possibilities for you to just steal something.
Dude i like the way u make vlogs if possible kindly make more of them in a new channel ✌️
I commented in start!!! 😁 When you posted challange, that you have to change rules you can check my comments there regarding this as I have read the comments I realised that may some people will use cg video which already created 🙄

What’s the name of ur one-wheel?
this guy looks like some badass hitman 😅😅
Oh dear. Thanks for this video. To think I was feeling so happy for the winner. What a con man. I’m thinking he could get arrested as I’m pretty sure there’s a law against such. Hey, I’m Nigerian and so I know quite a lot about feeling embarrassed with what some bad eggs do. In summary, there are con men everywhere and they shouldn’t be used to judge a people. On a side note, I’ve just started on blender and I’m pretty sure my laptop would implode and explode at the same time if I were to attempt anything close to those renders I saw. Lol.
do more CG challenge please every month
I feel the pain, seing you make this second video... Wan't to scream with frustration, because I have been ripped off three times myself by people who made money selling my work as their own to Levis, Nokia and Usher. Work I would have done better and earned money from! At the same time, it's a reminder that what we do, is considered an artform and viewed highly by many. So in a sense, it's a compliment of the good work. And a reminder, we need to be more social. Often, we artists, are much worse at contacting clients than doing the hard work. :-)
And also there might be many other artworks on the challenge that might have been stolen from other artists, really feel sad for those artists 😢
Baby Lebrov! Congrats!
