Driving Michael Schumacher’s 1993 Benetton-Ford B193-skinned Formula HitTech Gen2 Model3 at Hockenheim Historic 2001 in Automobilista 2 VR from Reiza Studios.

The default setup had major oversteer, both off-throttle and when on the power. Once I dialled that out, things would get more comfortable.
The Williams & McLaren version of DRS(Low drag config) was a singular button press to toggle it on and off each time, whilst also remembering to toggle it off just before the braking zone.
The Benetton method(also used here), is to press and hold. On paper, that seems like a better action for me, as I won’t forget to turn it off, as releasing the button automatically does that.
It’ll be interesting to see if I get thumb fatigue, holding the button all the way down Hockenheim’s four long straights…

The last Automobilista 2 patch makes this game a huge step up. For sure the best simracing for single player against AI. Overcome Assetto Corsa, Raceroom and Rfactor 2.
I haven't played sim games for a very long time but every single time i see some Automobilista footage it feels so much more immersive than other sims! Great content!

Thankfully the sound is not that 2 bit quality now. Should be like this in all sim games. We do not realise how important the sound is in the sim race immersion.

Great video, tks. How do you play AMS2 in VR and record the replay in TV style? When I play in VR the replays are also in VR perspective.

Play & capture in VR. Save the replay. Load the game in normal mode and capture the normal replay. 🙂
@GregzVr how do you get the replays worked so well? I mean that the camera is following the car in the outside view?

During a replay, select the ‘roof’ camera. To enable: Press CTRL + K twice. Movement: W,A,S,D. Roll: X & C. Up and Down: Y & H. Direction: Mouse + Left-Click. FOV: + and - on the keypad. Rotation: Numpad 2 4 6 8 (5 resets the rotation). Capture the onboard replay. You have to do this every time, as the changes don’t save.
Good video.....but the car feels like they have a light backend.... seems like the car don't have weight on the road or drive with minimum grip.... it's a bit strange....but great video

The default setup is very loose, but that can be fixed in setup.
Sehe ich das richtig, der Williams hat eine andere Karosserie als der Benetton? Oder sind es einfach 2 verschiedene Klassen?😊

Yes, they are different models, but because they’re not official, they are _close_ but not exact.

Ja, mein Freund, es ist tatsächlich eine andere Karosserie und ein anderer Motor. Die Autos sind alle in der gleichen Klasse. Es gibt jedoch zwei verschiedene neue Klassen: Formula Hi Tech Generation 1 (die Formel 1 von 1992) einschließlich 5 verschiedene F1-Autos: 1992 McLaren MP4/7 F1 Honda V12 1992 Bennetton B192 F1 Ford V8 1992 Williams FW14B F1 Renault V10 1992 Ferrari F192 F1 Ferrari V12 Und 1992 "Generisch" Williams F1 Renault V10 ohne elektronische Hilfsmittel, ohne elektronische Federung und langsamer als die anderen tatsächlichen Williams-Autos in dieser Klasse. Formula Hi Tech Generation 2 (1993 Formel 1) Darunter 4 verschiedene F1-Autos: 1993 McLaren MP4/8 F1 Ford V8 (HBD7) 1993 Williams FW15c F1 Renault V10 1993 Ferrari F193 F1 Ferrari V12 1993 Bennetton B193 F1 Ford V8 HBA8 (Mehr PS und schneller als der McLaren Ford V8, sie haben nicht den gleichen Motor, haben einen anderen Sound, haben unterschiedliche Leistungsstufen.) Also ja, es sind unterschiedliche Automodelle, unterschiedliche Motoren, so ziemlich alles unterschiedlich, und sie gehören alle zur gleichen Klasse - aufgeteilt in zwei verschiedene Klassen: Die F1-Klasse von 1992(Formel Hi Tech Generation 1) und dann die F1-Klasse von 1993 (Formula Hi Tech Generation 2). Es gibt also insgesamt 9 verschiedene Autos, aufgeteilt auf 2 Klassen - mit 5 Autos in Klasse 1 und 4 Autos in Klasse 2. Ich empfehle dringend, es auszuprobieren und dieses Spiel und den neuen DLC zu kaufen.
