i also like the mirror adjustments ... and adjust the specific car ffb strength in the car set up ... a little setting can/does make big differences in a games feel/experience .

brought ams2 a few days ago and found out that i can use my tobii eye tracker 5 in vr mode and these camera settings have made the experience alot better 😊..... thanks for the video 👍

ams2 and VR are a match made in heaven i feel. definitely the best VR simracing experience to be had in my opinion.

glad to hear it mate. they are a good starting point, you might want to tweak them slightly to suit but overall they are far better than the settings out of the box!@@truckdriverdecremebrulee

Great video had this turned down. It was way too much when I first started playing but was lucky enough to have already played project cars 2 so knew where to go to adjust. But now that I turned them all off instead of just down car seems way more planted. Those effects are very misleading made the car seems way more unstable than it actually was. Can push way harder now and catch slides better too. 👍 Thanks Metz 👍😎

Very nice video thank you. 😊 I’ve recently discovered the ‘default’ custom FFB is actually the closest one to the ´real’ thing because it reproduces only the forces calculated upon the front tyres without any additional effects. The weird thing though is that once you’ve installed some custom FFB found online, the only way to get it back is to delete the custom settings txt file so AMS2 puts it back when restarted. Makes no sense to me but whatever 😅.

I keep a little horizontal g-force on for a ‘kick’ on gear shifts and so that it dives just a touch under hard braking… otherwise turn it all off! Will try your ffb settings on my t300 tonight too

Hey metz, great video with the camera settings. I did the same when I first installed the game. With ACC, I always hated the ffb compared to other games I was playing at the time on my t300. It felt absolutely weak and lifeless. I gave up ACC pretty much straight away, but came back to it a year later when I had my DD base and it was a world of difference. I think I still prefer AMS2 overall but can quickly feel right at home on ACC after a few laps

hey bud. i really want to get a feel for ACC, truly i do but i just can't at thr moment with my wheel. i hope once i do eventually upgrade the wheel i'll have a vbetter feel for it. i'll still keep on trying tho.

Very useful advice, I agree with you that this change makes AMS2 different game. I have T300RS too and I am very happy with FFB, mine settings are 75/40/30/40 but I am going to try yours just for curiosity.

Yeah I can't seem to do ACC no more, It's only because I get bored fast on ACC, The GT3 cars feel repetitive, But that's me though, Everyone is different, I never knew this about AMS 2, I was wondering when I tried turning those settings up it was horrible to drive, I turned them down I think. But I never knew zero on those settings would do this, lol... I guess I still got a lot to learn about AMS2, It is my go to Sim Racing title at the moment, AMS2 goes on before any other Sim game, Since the new updates on AMS 2 it is like a totally new Sim Game, Rieza doing well...... Highly recommended if you like Sim Racing, The online multiplayer part is picking up as well even at night, AMS 2 is aging well, Like I said it is my to go Sim Racing title.... Nice one for showing this little AMS 2 trick will try it out later.....

Great video. In VR the default settings for cameras are worse and nausea inducing….I did the same and zeroed out all of that movement but it took some google searches, trial and error, etc. I don’t know why reiza leaves things and they could flip the camera defaults to what you have and leave the crazy bounce settings for whomever might want that.

Out of the box the zero'd settings should be default and like you said, if people want to introduce all that simulated movement, then each to their own. i think it's hurt the sim over the years having all that movement as default.

Also What do you your settings on thrustmaster control panel.

Kansai would be good for Sunday stream, maybe gt1s or bmw pro car, putting a premium on no tc/abs with all the curves on that track.

i use a custom ffb file from the Reiza forums, works best for me, and yeah, those geforce/ head movement options are crazy, they should definitely be turned off by default. Running an ancient T500RS here.

Im new to AMS2, Im using a t300rs with a 599xx wheel. Im trying to edit the button setup but it wont do it for shit, just wont let me assign anything. Is there something simple Im doing wrong?

I also disable all those head movements, I cannot drive at all with them on. I do not understand why Reiza insists on leaving them on by default. I recommended these settings to them last year but no results. Regarding ffb perhaps try playing for a couple of days without effects. Might be placebo but I feel effects also add a small disconnection to the car.

they say you are wrong about FFB because they never drive enough in AMS2. ACC is like a tyre pressure simulator. just watch a slow motion view of a Gt3 car when turning, they're sliding. this is not like a train. but in ams you can see and feel that slide, and learn to control that. awesome...

Hello Metz, could you tell also your TM control panel settings? I have everything set on 100% and with your ams2 FFB settings my T300 looses the FFB strength quite a bit, even with fan mode forced on. I had to dial the Gain down to 75% that the FFB effect stays the same.

Hi Peter, i no longer have the T300 however, the control panel settings were always at 100 gain. if i remember correctly, 100,100,100,0 or something like that. spring was always zero but everything else 100

Hello love ams2. It’s what project cars 2 should have been. Have you enabled the boost mode on your t300. Thrustmaster introduced it about a year ago and did not really publicise it. I brought r factor 2 in a Christmas sale only just started to play. Took about 8 hours trying to get it to run properly but it’s good. Lots of free stuff on the steam workshop page so no need to buy expensive dlc.

All boost really does is amplify all the forces in the wheel. It can cause clipping without giving a singular advantage so it's better at off.

I did try boost when it was first introduced and have to say i wasn't a fan. forced damping it felt like and felt i lost some info in the wheel.

I use 0 on everything but turn Legacy cam on (in vr)

thanks for this nice video. but i am not agree with you because when you look at far far objects or next turn at far distances, 0 settings vibrate my view up-down too much. if you take a hard kerb or out of road, this vibration makes sickness. maybe not zero but at least 30-40 for head movement and 5 for vertical G is better i think.

Does it work on thrustmaster tgt 2?

OMG, i don't even want to think about trying to drive with the default settings with rain! I can honestly say, with the camera settings i have, rain is not a problem to drive in. :)
