Keptn is a cloud-native application life-cycle orchestrator. It automates your SLO-driven multi-stage delivery and operations & remediation of your applications.
In this video you will get a detailed overview of the new and powerful automation tool called Keptn, which is actually an open source CNCF project.
First we'll understand the problem Keptn tries to solve in the release process and then see in detail
how Keptn works by looking at the three main use cases of Keptn of
- automated delivery
- automated operations
- and automated monitoring
We will look at Keptn's architecture and visualize how a more efficient and automated release process can look like with Keptn.

Hi Nana i am big fan of you since 2 years.I wanted to join the devops bootcamp. But the price is too high for me .In India we get 4 months live training with lifetime access to videos also slack chat option for any kind of technical issues for 300 USD.considering these points many like me would hesitate to join your bootcamp.kindly keep some reasonable prices so that everyone can afford.defintely you would grow more and more no doubt your content is exceptional

Can you make an example with the whole process with keptn.. like you did for Helm, Kubernetes? Interested in Azure DevOps as well. If you can make complete videos on Azure. The road map looks very good.. GitLab CI/CD->docker->Azure DevOps + DevSecOps and with any programming language. If you can make videos to complete the roadmap, would be very very helpful. Waiting for it :) Thank you.

Hey Nana, super cool video! It definitely explains very very good the key features of keptn. I am still using argocd and I do not know right now if keptn could be a replacement for argocd or if argocd is just an additional service. And if so, how would you connect both? Did you already tried that? What is your experience?

Hi Johannes. Hope its ok I quickly jump in here - I am one of the maintainers of Keptn. We see two paths here: a) triggering a keptn sequence after e.g: ArgoCD finished synchronization to execute a sequence of tests and evaluate. b) We have a Keptn GitOps operator that is moving into the direction of what ArgoCD provides. More details here in KEP-67 and KEP-69

Hey Nana! I would like to know how can i get updated with the latest tools and technology that comes into the market? I mean, now you are talking about keptn, how and where you come to know about that there is tool called keptn. Is it from any website or e-magazine or printed magazine or through any other source? If I get to know that there is a new tool and its name then I would google about it and get the official website and start learning about it. Expecting an answer from you. As usual thank you once again for your wonderful videos.

Hi Santosh. I am one of the maintainers of Keptn. We currently see two directions of our users as it comes to Spinnaker: a) Let Keptn orchestrate full end-2-end delivery by triggering Spinnaker for the deployment b) Instead of using Spinnaker let Keptn use tools such as Argo Rollouts for the deployment. In both cases Keptn would orchestrate deploy, test, evaluate, promote, notify ... but pick one of the tools for delivery
