    Please do more scratch tutorials. I have had dj equipment for over 3 years and whenever I get a chance I'll watch or look up dj scratch tutorials tips and tricks. But no one comes close to how you break it down. This was one of the hardest scratches for me to learn until I watched your tutorials. So please please please do more. I have so much I really want to learn!

    Def great demonstration by Akut1710 of this complicated 9 sound scratch without having to be 20-30 minutes long. @ Michael Heß - Good job on accentuating the difference between the boomerang vs the 6 sound autobahn (babybahn). It's easy to think you know this scratch only to realize later you've become comfortable with a flawed technique.

    the first part is the boomerang right? 1:50

  • @michaelhe2432

    @michaelhe2432

    8 жыл бұрын

    No, afaik this would rather be called a "babybahn" or "6 sound autobahn". The difference stems from the fact that a boomerang uses a reverse slice as sounds 4 and 5, whereas the babybahn as he shows at that timecode uses a forward slice. To look at it in another way: The autobahn creates overall 9 sounds. 3 groups of 3. At 1:50 he effectively uses sounds 1,2,3 and 7,8,9. (Or 4,5,6 and 7,8,9 - does not matter as the first 2 groups of sounds are similar)

  • @charlesyoung239

    @charlesyoung239

    Thanks for that clarification. Plenty of other demo's of this one say the boomerang is the same thing as the 6 sound autobahn.

    AKut1710 you want to talk about time I remember when Herbie Hancock Rockit came out , we heard the song before seeing the video so me and my friend had no idea how to scratch so we were grabbing the tonearm and moving it across the record, leaving all types of scratches, making the record unplayable... somehow we figured out that that wasn't right.. few years later I had a pair of belt driven turntables and a cheap mixer, that was the 80's

  • @TimmpijazzBrehm

    you can use two fingers to make a 2-click motion without making it a twiddle. Also Rafik uses two fingers for the faster autobahns. But I agree, if possible you should learn them with your wrist or with one finger even if you go fast. It often sounds sharper and the change to transforms and chops and stuff like that is easier. best autobahn tutorial ever btw! big ups

    Can't find a problem with the technique so he attacks the turntable. Money and gear don't make the man, hard work, patience and practice make it happen. Although maybe Sbromho can find a new automated DJ platform that has the scratches built in and cued to nicely lit LEDs, quantized to the other track and with a knob for doubling, quadrupling etc. so you can focus entirely on fist pumping the crowd and looking good.
