This process doesn't work for me though? When I click "set live" it makes me mark the first message as a comment reply. Which negates the whole email form within IG platform. Any advice?

I’m not sure if you’ve figured this out. Here’s my take. Comment to DM - the trigger here is the comment, so you really need to mark the first message as comment reply [it’s a meta rule; it tells them that you’re just not randomly messaging people out of nowhere]. If you need them to continue the rest of the flow, you’re allowed to add a button that user can click to continue to the rest of the flow. You just have to be creative on how you will design the conversation flow. Email form example - is DM automation that gets triggered when user DM them a certain keyword. Trigger here is different, it’s direct message that tracks a certain keyword so it doesn’t ask you to mark the first message as comment reply. Let me know if this helps! Feel free to ask if something is not clear.

Thanks for showing this. You skipped the part where you get people to accept that you can add them to your list. Why not just ad this to the text in the flow and be compliant?

I don't understand Why you would asked them for permission to add them to your email list or to email them some info. Why would you even ask? They gave you their Email. They would not give you their email if they did not want to be put on your list or to be emailed something from you. Especially when you say - to get more information, please give me your best email address and I will send you more information. To me - They just gave you permission.

You need to integrate the two (pretty simple inside manychat settings) and create a flow with collect email as the action

If doing this then do they automatically come a dm subscriber and i can dm people in mass with sponsored ads?

what about the DM limit on Instagram? are there limits to DMs? Instagram allows 50-100 DMs per 24 hours.

I only use the trigger word flows and I would get very specific on the words you use so it isn't accidentally triggered

You likely made a mistake in set up whilst following the video, contact support and it'll get sorted

people have been receiving my automation by adding the keyword in a sentence instead of just the keyword itself. how do i limit this to just receiving the keyword itself

Yeah thats a common problem, you need to either make your keyword more specific so it isn't accidentally triggered like that or select the trigger to only be applied to DM's from a specific story

Will this reply sent to private accounts?? Also recently we have to invite people if we are sending more than 1 message to them.

I haven't tried to complete thousands of outbound DM's per day, it may happen at those numbers, however it is approved by Instagram so unlikely too. I have seen creators who do send thousands of outbound DM's daily with this have no issues

This doesn't work, you can not make sure they write down an email address as many chat doesn't allow it

It depends how you do it. If you set up a flow so that people comment on your post, you send them a DM, then you cant ask for an email and add them to your list directly from DM, you will need to send them a link to your landing page. However, if they start the convo because in your story/post you told them to DM you a word, then yes you can ask for their email and subscribe them to your list
