Auto Adjust Text to Full Width in Illustrator (Change Spacing not Size)

Learn how to have Illustrator automatically change the tracking of some text to make it fill the width of its text box. Details below...

Place the cursor inside some text. Choose Fit Headline from the Type menu. Illustrator sets the text full width by automatically adjusting the tracking. Note that the text size remains unchanged.
Point Type
Created by clicking and releasing with the Type Tool.
This kind of text does not take a new line until you press Enter/Return.
The Fit Headline command does not work on Point Type.
Area Type
Created by clicking, dragging and releasing with the Type Tool.
This kind of text automatically wraps within the text box.
The Fit Headline command does work on Area Type.

    if only this worked for type on path. I'm working on a map with lots of type on path text so that it can curve. It would be so nice to have it automatically fill the available path.

    @@MichaelBullo I mean a bit, it is at least centered where I want it but I have to manually increase the tracking.
