My nanny that raised me, was autistic. She was born in 1930 and no one really knew why she was 'different'. Ida Kay took care of 3 children, a 6 bedroom house, did all the food shopping and most of the cooking. There was never a dirty dish in the sink, no dirty clothes laying around, no shoes left out, toys always picked up. She would stand next to me while I was playing and clean up! My autistic nanny was the best parent, unconditionally loved and cared for me better than my own mother. I really enjoyed watching you pick up this house!

You are doing such a wonderful thing for people. I never knew how crippling and suffocating my life would become because of "stuff" and mental illness. I am on disability and have slowly become a recluse. It started getting unmanageable when my roommate moved out about five years ago and then became crippling when both my parents died in 2020. I moved a lot of their stuff in and never had help organizing it. I hate my life and what it's become. My mental illness has just become worse. It's a real domino effect and is overwhelming. I don't date because I'm ashamed. When I had a roommate, I had a reason to keep things up. I did it for someone else. I just try the best I can, but I've given up a lot. I have dogs, so it gets dirty fast. I JUST bought spray bottles off of Amazon about two weeks ago. I wish I saw your video first or I would have purchased them with your link. I will check out the carpet cleaner though. Stay wonderful and know you are making a huge difference! Love from Ohio! Edit: That's almost the same carpet cleaner I have too. @@babydahl9424 I’m surprised you remembered me. Things haven’t been the best. A month ago the vet accidentally killed my dog by nicking his bladder TWICE while neutering him. It tore and the bladder couldn’t be repaired. He wasn’t even 2 yet. I’m taking his passing the worst out of any pet I’ve had, friends, even parents. Been bawling every day since it happened. Rinji actually helped me with my physical disabilities. His seller denies anything, then blocked me. Going through this and now court when I file. It’s too much. I don’t have money to buy another dog. Even rescues are selling Goldens for $850. I paid more but rescues make it too hard for people on a disability budget to get a service dog (not to mention training is outrageous). I have my three still, but two are super seniors and a little one who means well but she can’t help me stand up. My one friend has been coming over one day a week to help me clean and organize. She has been wonderful. But things are filling up again because of my physical and emotional pain. Thank you so much for asking me how I’ve been. I do this to others online, but no one has ever asked me later on. You seem like a very caring person.

Same! Friends, but especially family of mine always has a running commentary about the disorder and cleanliness of my house. Seeing this makes me realise that I'm not as bad at cleaning and putting away as they make me out to be. Which in turn helps me actually keep the place clean and liveable.

"If you ever find yourself overwhelmed when trying to clean..." I have been working with a friend to de-clutter his house, for over 2 years now. My suggestion for this is to "just start throwing garbage out" The sheer amount of stuff that go thrown out was almost immeasurable. Just getting it out of the house and into the garbage truck made space to work. Now I just have to get him to give me approval to do my thing like you can do in your videos. He is so attached to junk and garbage that belonged to a family member that has passed on, he is literally saving moldy trash, etc. Edit: I would love a carpet cleaning video. My friend from the above paragraph has carpets that really need cleaning, and I would love to know your tricks!

I watched a video where someone used a pump sprayer with the carpet cleaning solution and sprayed the carpet. Then they brushed/agitated the carpet. Then they used the carpet cleaning machine as an extractor. I like renting a rug doctor and have for 40 years. I use vinegar and hot water in the carpet cleaner as it sanitizer. With tough stains you do need a cleaning solution also. I was shocked how well using some Dawn in with the cleaning solution cleaned the grunge. You don't need a lot. I used Dawn diluted in water on the fabric under couch cushions that get stained from kid's toys, food, etc. getting under them. Of course rinse well. A few drops of Dawn when mopping cuts through dirt on floors. Rinse well.

The best way to clean is to throw out everything. If it's been in a pile, it's not being used and is trash. Then, again, I gave away a nearly new couch because I couldn't get the couch cover off to wash it. I bought it assembled and they screwed up the cover somehow.

I agree that rags used to clean toilets are especially icky, but I can't bring myself to just throw away good rags. I bought a bunch of the really cheap washcloth packs from Target, in a color that is dedicated to only cleaning the toilet. I can wash them separately, and I will never accidentally use a toilet rag on my kitchen counters. So nice you do this, I am sure people really appreciate it. Sometimes people just don't know where to start.

I am guessing you developed your passion and abilities on your own. For people less independent than you we as communities need to help people find their niche like this. In our community we had a girl with Downs Syndrome that worked at one of the chic filas in town. She was such a part of the community that when she left to study for more advanced work at our local university the city newspaper wrote a piece about her. Another family had an autistic son that loved shredding paper. They turned his passion into a business and he shreds paper as much as his heart desires while helping support his family. I really enjoyed this.

I got up this morning and decided to wipe off and sanitize my glass top stove and surrounding area : I really got into it using your method[s] and cleaned and sanitized my knife set, counter tops, counter top oven, stainless paper towel holder, toaster, kitchen window over the sink, my stainless steel double sink and stainless dishwasher!!! I'm 75 and could start to feel it in my arms and shoulders... but so satisfying! Tomorrow, I plan to clean the refrigerator out and wipe down the interior. The APC mixture bothers me a little so my husband ordered a respirator, the 2 types of microfiber towels and I am waiting for your drill tool attachments from Amazon. YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION!!!
