    Thanks for this video I just have my first burn out and now the doctors think I’m schizophrenic or have bipolar disorder and now I have to convince them and my family that I’m autistic and I have been masking for my whole life but I’m praying that I can get diagnosed soon being as though that my brother is on the autism spectrum I pray they will connect the dots thank for making these videos they really made me aware that I am very likely autistic

    I was also told by a doctor that I was bipolar and I was always so confused about it. Once I researched Autism EVERYTHING in my life made sense. I have my suspicions that both my daughters are Autistic. My youngest is 11 months and still isn't talking and seems to be more of a stereotypical Aspie where as my older daughter can speak and mask. I have talked to many people who have siblings that are diagnosed as well! Just keep doing your research!

    Funny, I was planning on doing this too. And when I go to get a diagnosis, if they feel like I am just making it up, they can ask me anything and I can explain in more detail. About 100 of my traits, behaviors , etc fall under autism. I have have been diagnosed with bipolar, anxiety, adhd, borderline personality and other things that are not mental.

    In my binder my document about me through life was 21 pages long 🙈🤣I typed up over two year period this was sent to my assessors, I’ve just found out my mother is also highly probably neurodiverse as well a week or so ago, my sister is diagnosed, and I’m waiting to be assessed later this year I’ve had to delay due to an appeal for care funding. Where did you find the templates? I’d like to make a cover for my folder.. I also found out my late father also had issues. So interesting. I just wish I could have my assessment now but I have to get my care appeal done first as time sensitive. I just saw your reply on my comment on your last video will get to it and reply shortly. Thank you for all you are doing! Keep up the great work 🙏🏼♥️wish I was as organised as you regards what I sent to my assessors. My Aspie score was 161/200 xx

    Oh my gosh I could literally start at the beginning of my life and write a novel 😅 especially a year later. I seriously think of new things all the time and I’m like dang I wish I had that written down! I use Canva for everything 😂 it’s an addiction at this point. My autistic side loves all the organization stuff and the adhd side of he is like “🥴 nah!”

    Any resources for clarity on a parent letter for adults seeking assessment? My therapist believes I am autistic, but needs a second opinion and is referring me. I want to be prepared. I am comfortable asking my dad for the letter, but I don't know how to articulate what it is I'm asking of him.

    Hi! What did your mom write in general? Was it based on DSM-5? I have my diagnosis in a month and wish my mom would write something... but i know i'll have to help her, because she recognises a lot of autistic traits in me, still she doesn't see them as autistic. Like, they're part of my personality or something

  • @lennoxblakeg

    @lennoxblakeg

    2 жыл бұрын

    Ha! First off I want to say I’m sorry. That can feel really discouraging. But just realize that she doesn’t know as much as you do about autism and your own brain. I just asked her to write a letter about the struggles I had as a child until I was out of her house. My sister is the same way, I corrected her the other day that Asperger’s wasn’t a thing anymore and she got upset with me and then was concerned that I was being defensive when really I just know way more than her. I can’t be mad that she’s not educated about autism. Everyone just thinks of the stereotypical traits but no one seems to care to do the in-depth research about it to understand us better! There’s nothing more frustrating than hearing someone you love say “oh we’re all just a little autistic” instead of being supportive.
