I do too! He can cut, perm, wet setting my little tightly permed pixie cut any time! I would love to be his model , as I am a late blooming transgender person! I do my best to be a bright 🌞 ✨️ light in a world 🌎 ✨️ so full of intolerance and haters!

I just wanted to return after watching your vid again and apologize for griping about this not being a pin curl vid. This actually the best MM or vintage hair tutorial overall for several reasons. 1. You explain why the pattern is important. . 2. Explained why a wet set is far more enduring and produces an authentic vintage result that cannot be achieved with a curling iron! because it's foundation is from the root and 3. You demonstrated how to brush out wet set. Same technique apples to pin curls. Beautiful instruction. Thank you so much for this video.

Watching in 2019 and still amazed how Michael gets those curls to shape for him. Indeed, the most authentic Marilyn hair tutorial out there.

She looks rather like Madonna! Either way I enjoyed the dynamic between the stylist and the client! Enjoyed the vibe and this is exactly what im looking for! Reminds me of Linda Evangelista's hairstyle in the 90s!

I remember watching my grandmother use the same rollers,, she did her hair the same way. I loved watching her up her rollers in, takin them out, and combing through. Always perfect, EVERYTIME!

I love this technique I tried it myself minus the teasing and brushing it out because I ran out of time but it was such and easy wash and go style I literally let it dry while driving and removed the rollers once I parked the car and it was absolutely perfect after brushing through it with my fingers. Thank you so much I finally found something that works with my hair type and this difficult length

I've seen many vintage/pinup makeovers, and rarely fallen in love with the look! :) What would you recommend for brown hair, very fair skin, and light brown/ hazel eyes? I'm only asking, because I don't think bright red lipstick works with my coloring. I'm thinking of more of a Jane Russell look.

+Jessica R You have the colour of the autumn sweety, georgeous. Use the color that reminds u of maple trees in autumn. Use cherry coloured lipstick ( but a little bit dark pink as well ). Use light brown eye shadow on your eyes, thin chocolate eyeliner, Then bright chocolate and rosey blush on. Cut your hair in neck long french bob with bangs.

hey! i have your same colors i am very pale and Ive found that actually red lipstick brings color and life to my face.USE RED LIPSTICK if you want its gorgeous and I think the Marylin look is just right

Just wanted to say thanks for this. I used your method/format for roller layout for my set. I'm a background extra and Hair had us set our own hair for the movie LBJ. :-O I haven't set my own hair since high school. But, I followed your instructions pretty much to the T and results were fabulous. No, I didn't look like Marilyn. I didn't need to. :-) I needed to look like my character (The Mayor of Dallas' wife). My stylist who prepped my hair for set that day said I did, "Excellent roller set" on my hair as he took my rollers out. :-) So thank you! XX And P.S. Kitty is a doll. People need to quit hating on others. We are all unique and beautiful.

My hair used to be below the waist which made mid-century vintage styles basically impossible. I recently cut it into a short feathered bob à la Princess Diana, but the cut also really lends itself to the pinup style! I love a good wet set! Can’t wait to try this pattern out!

I absolutely LOVE this tutorial! I used it last year in a play set in the 50s, and I'm about to do the hairstyle again (for a personal project I'm doing where I recreate looks from certain decades using only things I already own)

This is a great set even if you have longer hair. My hair is a little past my collarbones and, while it didn't look exactly like this, my hair turned out amazing with this pattern.
