Even so, Autel jacked the price up to $949 just for the drone. That's the same price as the Air 2S.

A test of both drones flying 100-200 yds with and against the wind in each mode would have been more useful. Looking forward to the other videos.

Wow! That is impressive. The Nano plus handling 40 mph gusts. With all the other advantages it holds over the mini 2 that is a win in my opinion! I give you a lot of credit for doing this test in those conditions!

Your video last month stated you were returning it back to your vendor, but you still have the drone. At the end of the day, if you want far superior imagery, the Nano+ wins the contest against the Mini 2 by a massive margin. If you want to fly in very high winds, send up the Mini 2 which is more capable in these conditions. But the downside is the Mini 2 imagery is very much inferior to the Nano+, big time. Not even close !

I will have more to report on image quality in 2 weeks, going to be using this drone extensively over that time. It's no secret that the image quality is superior on the nano but the flight characteristics are still superior on the mini

Also I won my PayPal dispute and got a refund. I also offered to return the drone to Autel which I have no obligation to do. I asked them to prepay what I lost on the transaction including the refund of extended autel care which is not through PayPal, and either prepay return shipping or send me a prepaid label. All of which they have refused to do.

Thanks for the update. For me, the V.1.1.14 provide noticeable updates and improvements to the drone. While I never hover my drone for that long of a period of time, I do see the concern over the slow downward drifting. I noticed this also when I was higher up. It was a snail crawl downward but it wasn't enough to alarm me as I rarely hover for that long. With that said, per the v1.1.14 update, I decided to KEEP my Nano Plus (I was just about to return it - thank goodness for Amazon!). Lastly, you may want to retitle your video to "Autel Evo Nano Plus". Your video doesn't show up per that search and "Autel Nano Plus" gets less hits it seems. Looking forward to a video and thoughts on the flying speed against head wind with the newest firmware!

My one when I had it did that as well. It doesn’t know where the hover where the DJ always stays dead still in the wind gets blown around a little bit that nano didn’t know where it wanted to go dangerous dangerous dangerous I felt like at any second it was just going to take off and fly away and go and hit someone in the head.

Are you still persisting with the drone or have you sent it back. The firmware updates fixing the problems or is it still a hunk of junk ?

Two things that give concern wit this test. 1. flying outside of level 5 wind conditions by a large margin. 2. flying over non contrast floor, if the elevation is low, these aircraft start to use the bottom sensors for height data, and flying over whiteout snow is not ideal. May not have been a factor, but mini was higher and over more contrasted surface with tire tracks. I would like to see the test repeated within level 5 winds, and over contrasted surface, or higher agl. Your title would suggest that you had information concerning jello and speed? Title should maybe be nano heavy wind test comparison to mini 2.

Both were initially set at the same height, the nano drifts , there are ongoing downsensor issues (they have been turned off in one of the earlier firmware, they may not even be activated yet in this version) At the end of the day the mini is still has superior flight characteristics and the nano has a better camera. More tests to come

Unfortunately the insta360 that I was videoing with corrupted the second file that showed the nano plus against the wind. It managed to get 6m/s which is great imo. The clip at the end shows no jello that is raw unprocessed video of the nano plus filming.

autel craps out, as usual. and why you didn't make actual speed test into wind etc? afraid of even more humiliation by dji?
