3 of 4 went bad on me the same time. 35 charges over 15 months. Autel offered me a 10 percent discount on refurbs. They can F.O. Never impressed with Autel...got to love the props always in your shots.

I had the same issue. Bought 2 new batteries from Best Buy less than a year ago. Never used the batteries. Charged them and had the same issue with the new batteries. Autel batteries are garbage as now I have 5 batteries and all of them are damaged. Autel never responded to my inquiries the Customer service had gone downhill over the past couple of years. Let me add I also bought the X-Star drone years ago which also no longer flies due to several electrical issue after there useless updates.

Thanks for sharing! All of my batteries are doing the same thing! I am so frustrated with this drone and company right now. They have been no help via email. Honestly, I have not called them but after they told me that I was past my warranty, I just all but gave up. If no resolution is found, I will not buy another Autel product ever again. I am going to post some of my screen share issues. Please keep an eye of for them! If you have any new information how to fix this, please update us! Critically low batteries with over 20 minutes on the time indicator makes no sense!!! That's what I get! Insane!!! I have no confidence in the Evo or Autel right now! Until this is resolved, this drone is GROUNDED!!!! :-(

So when I called Autel and got through to them I gave them my info and they said the battery was under warranty but they gave me a solution to try and it worked. AT FIRST!! I thought everything was good and I put the EVO 1 for sale on ebay. After it was sold and on the day of shipping I tested it one more time just incase and the battery didnt work again!! :( I had only sold the drone with 1 battery and I quickly just went to best buy and bought the buyer a new battery and put it in the box. I just washed my hands of the EVO 1. I gave away the other 3 batteries to the guy and wished him luck. So, I am not sure what they would have done but supposedly Autel was going to replace them.

My evo is now doing the same and it was after update. And all 4 batteries at same time did this one after the other. Some batteries only have 12 cycles. They should do something. I’m not buying anything else off Autel I had both there drones . And they both have battery problems.

Same here. 5 batteries, after i updated four I have four damaged batteries. Only one that still works is the one I didnt update. Called Autel and they offered a discount on new batteries. Would not make it right. I ordered all parts from Autel. They were a good company.

Yea... total Bumm... I went to fly my EVO1 yesterday, and got the dreaded Damaged Battery. . I think it has something to do with the update, they worked perfectly up until then. Planned Obsolescence perhaps.

Out of 5 batteries, only 2 of my batteries still work. All say damaged battery! I really feel it was something in the firmware update but Autel denies this!!! I have lost confidence in flying this drone!

did you fix it? I got mine back working by doing this firmware on the drone and controller is the most up today specifically the battery version on the controller 1.7.0 I think it is. Next, fully charge the batteries and last power cycle the batteries by turning them on but holding down the power button for like 20 seconds. It should flicker and blink. Then put the batteries in while everything is off. Drone, controller and batteries. Then turn them all on like normal. All my batteries came back working fine so far.

I seen a lot of people have issues with the last update and the one you are saying now is a newer update then what I have on now i believe. When I put the last update on there is when the batteries started having the issue. I will let you know the results and thank you

I checked the firmware on all my batteries and they are all up to date. I also had one of my damaged batteries work ok again🤦🏽‍♂️. Sounds like a issue for the Evo Warranty Dept

mac 77 I never got my batteries to work with the update, charge/discharge, or anything else. They are sending me warranty replacements

3 out of 4 batteries went bad in my evos! 4th one went out couple weeks later. I have 2 evos and one quit all within a year of purchasing. I tried contacting autel about batteries no luck . The evo that quit on me had just been repaired by autel only flew it couple times it was experiencing over heating issues and quit in mid flight and fell out of sky hundreds of feet. Amazingly no damage to drone structure. I found a clear film that was inside drone blocking air from cooling motherboard. Technician must left inside when it got worked on. I got covid was very sick and didn't mess with drones for a while so when I tried to get it repaired I was told warranty was out . You can see flight records and battery charge info all batteries have less that 40 charges. I have not had very good experience with autel evos I used to tell everyone how good they was now due to bad service and poor performance of products I don't recommend autel anymore. If anyone has had any luck getting replacement please forward the contact or procedure to get replacement. There is noway that we should spend this much money and all batteries go out all at one time. I think it happened after update. Please I need help with some customer service if autel cares about integrity of company stand behind your product and show some customer service and replace 4 batteries of mine. Hey Darius do you still have those batteries that went bad? The reason I'm asking is because my Autel Evo is/was having the same issue. I stumbled onto your video because I was looking for a solution to my "damaged battery" problem. I believe I've watched all of the videos related to this issue still with no luck. BUT I think I have the solution. I think I've fixed the "damaged battery" issue... at least with with my battery. My battery was still full when I got the "damaged battery" signal... the drone wouldn't fly... all that. What I did was, put the battery in the drone and powered it on and left it on overnight until it drained itself out.... I didn't bother with the remote at all.... this was only with the drone/battery... then the next day(today) I charged it back up. Right now it works... meaning no "damaged battery alert". I just had it hover for a few minutes in the air, and I flew it around my house... not too far or too high just incase it starting acting funny. I did that on 3 different occasions today... I'm gonna test it again tomorrow and see what happens. Hope this helps.... let me know what you think?

That is interesting. No, I do not have the batteries or the drone. I had bought the EVO 2 before the EVO 1 went bad with the intention of selling the 1 after I bought the 2. This sped up that process. I just bought the buyer of my drone a battery from best buy and mailed everything off. Out of site and out of mind. So far the evo 2 hasnt been a problem but honestally I do not know of the EVO 2 impresses me enough for the upgrade.

Now in 2021 this has become a common problem with many batteries. One of mine was fully charged, started out flying and within a couple minutes I started getting all sorts of warnings that came and went so fast I couldn't read them. Then the drone self landed down in a canyon. Was a little hike to go find it. Autel has admitted to me that the sensor inside the battery measures voltage of each cell and when they get more than .05 percent out of balance then the computer will render the damaged battery signal and it refuses to fly. This is way too tight of a tolerance and needs to be dialed back to around 5 percent. Autel will not likely do this so we need to learn how to hack this thing and either make the changes or eliminate this imbalance sensor.

That interesting. Thanks for the update. I fly the EVO 2 now and sold my EVO 1 but the EVO 2 video transmission is bad from the drone to the remote in the air. I think the EVO 1 was better in that regard so Autel is not making happy customers. :(

How did you get the battery working again, I have one at 75 %saying battery damage do I need to fully discharge it, then recharge it to full, I notice one cell slightly off but nothing major,

I had 2 batteries that the remote says damaged batteries on. I am hoping at some point someone will post a solution to this or how to replace the batteries. I wonder what is causing this, mine sat for the winter, I thought I was safe because of the automatic discharge built into the batteries.

I spoke with Autel today. They say it's clear in the documentation that the batteries must be run through the charger at least every 3 months, or... Well, you know the results. I'm searching for a magic solution to brings these back. I haven't found any.

I think you should call Autel Customer Support. With all the people having this problem I am sure they are aware of this situation and either have a fix or a replacement plan.

brother i crash my evo and broke a arm of the drone off and I cant find part to fix it. This happened when crashed happened when my battery tell me i have 5 min of flight left just shut off and my drone fell out of the sky about 20 feet to the ground. on my 4 flight of a brand new evo the battery with the jan 2020 firmware update an update that is for the battery.

@@TheRealGambleman ...I have yet to have any issues with mine...but I have found that bringing the batteries down to 7% causes the battery to recalibrate to balance the cells properly...this is necessary about every 20 to 25 flights. I have 41 cycles on one battery and 43 on the other...with no issues at all and I'm getting 23 to 25 minutes hover time and 21 to 24 on distance flights. I have to admit that I'm a flight time and distance junkie...so far I have gotten over 3 miles one way with the Evo and came back with 24% battery...so I know I can push just under 4 miles.🔥🔥

I have 3 battrey for my Evo drone an it's saying the something they or damaged even right now...its just mess up right now

Call the support #. Have you had it for less than a year? Don't fly it without a fix. I almost lost mine a few times before I realized that I just can't do that
