What an awesomely structured and designed track from the maestros.

One the best tracks on Exai without a doubt.

Overly advanced technology, fixed human life, collapsing society, and returning to space...

the second part of the track is like being caught in a gigantic maelstrom or black hole . so goooood

A cool thing I find in this track is that the Giallo-esque horror theme (from 6:32) is gate-sequenced similarly to the preceding sequenced percussion. I often wonder who came up with ideas as this. In this case my gut feeling goes with Sean, allthough I also have a feeling Rob did the most melodies here.

What's even funnier is that if you listen REALLY closely you can actually still hear the drums playing during that part they're just turned WAY the fuck down lol

i love that chord at eight seconds. dope track overall

incredible, making use of the reverb they were so fond of in oversteps, really unrelenting

If you're having trouble following the beat near the beginning of the song, just listen to the second half of the track first, then return to the beginning and it will make more sense.

This one sounds like proto-Squarepusher from another dimension.

I can't believe autechre didn't fire their drummer after this. The drumming is incredibly untight and sloppy.

Too much tech talk. Drives girls away from the party.

I am not too keen on this track. It's still great, just compared to some of the other tracks on the album this is not so good. The main thing that annoys me, is that it sounds like a beat and melody that would be at home in 6/4 stretched out into 4/4 because it's more 'normal' or something. The drums themselves have really nice samples, just they could've been used more creatively.

Wish they'd make happier stuff..

one of the decent tracks on exai. unfortunately, the album had some filler tracks that could be taken out. the remaining good ones would make for a stronger album.
