Austrian MotoGP Special | KTM Super Duke GT to GP | EP03

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The final GT2GP chapter begins halfway through our second day of riding en route to the Austrian MotoGP. We unearthed some stunning roads and panoramas, and the KTM 1290 Super Duke GTs just kept on giving - even on some dodgy fire roads we stumbled upon. took it yesterday to track. what a boat it is. the 2023 edition, even in sport damping and Rider+Pillion+luggage, on track mode, the suspension back and forth is totally electronic and you simply cannot do ANYTHING to make it stiffer so it can not bounce like a balloon, on track.

TheMissendenFlyer They just released them for sale in North America last month, though I've had mine (a dealer demo unit) since July. The front end view I don't love, but then, that was the poorest aspect of the 749S I traded in, so I'm used to funny looking front ends. As with the 749, looked at from any other angle, it looks fine. I quite like the origami look, even with the bags, as they are well integrated. But none of that matters once I hit the curves at Middle Point...

Its a nice bike. Personally I went for the XR, just found it to me more versatile and a lot faster/sporty to ride in Dynamic Pro mode. Has a better electronics package also with up and down quick shifter. Baron, you should give the XR another ride (this time without a passenger on the back).

I'm curious why you compared the GT to the S1000XR rather than the R1200RS? Granted the RS is probably a fair bit more sedate than the Duke but it seems like they're closer to aiming for the same market. They're both trying to be sporty sport-tourers. You could possibly toss the FJR into the same bucket for people who want a sport-tourer but don't get on well with all that "riding excitement" faffery. Leave the XR to fight it out with the Multi off in their own little corner.

    Q. How did you Shield the Seat from the Heat of the Engine.? It's a Pain in the Arrs after about an hour. Tried the Aluminum Heat 'Roofing' Insulation but that didn't work. Love the Bike but definitely not the Engine Heating up the Seat... I prefer my Eggs 'Uncooked' and the HEAT from this Engine definitely Boils them after only an hour or less of riding. Definitely need better Insulation. Maybe an Aluminum Heat Shield inside my Pants. KTM 'HELP'...

No vibrations. I don't believe you. Practically everyone I've ever read on the internet who's reviewed and shared opinions of the XR complained of high frequency vibration. The latest model BMW added rubber mounts for the bars to try to quell it a bit, but the verdict is out whether it did anything. Fact is, BMW knows it's a point of complaint and they haven't stopped the source of the buzz.

I still don't get why naked bikes have such a small (or no) windscreen. Take off the fairings and charge us less, fine np, but adding power and a larger gas tank seem like the most uneconomical ways of dealing with the poorer fuel efficiency that comes with more wind resistance. I have no interest in buying a naked, regardless of how good one or the other may be - they never look quite right and if I want more comfort than a sport bike, i'll get a tourer. Nakeds are just a needless, senseless niche category, imo.
