Thank you for the best video I have ever seen. This video answered every question. And I have seen a lot of them. I ordered a custom made saddle from Australia and now I understand the terminology and usage much better. Thanks from the USA.

Honestly, I prefer stock saddles to every other type of saddle out there. They give the most comfortable and secure ride when you’re in the saddle for long hours on muster.

The Australian saddle is by far the BEST saddle. Ok for ME, anyways. It was made so well and kept up looks for ever. Never failed and I never fell off. Abit heavy but there is way worse. I wanted rhe black saddle. But had deep brown. Fit my paso fino so well and we did everything in the saddle, with horn. From barrels to cow penning to shows to rugged mountain trails.

Wow. I thought I understood a lot about Australian saddles. But this is amazing. I wish I would of found it years ago. Then I would not of sold my hornless Australian saddle I had 18 years ago. Probable the best life long saddle a person could own in hindsight. Thanks for sharing this.

I'm regretting I got rid of my Aussie stock saddle, too. Think it was a half-breed style!

. what if you are a first time buying a saddle to fit both rider and horse and you've always ridden the horse and western saddle (never known the seat size) that was owned by friends. How would you know the correct rider's size/measurement of palm's width between knee pad and top of knee when ordering offline? not having a AU. stock saddle to physically sit on and easily make measurements.

not having the Au. stock saddle physically to determine the measurement of palm width between knee pad and top of knee...how would someone know what size to order offline? Whenever I rode it was on horses and western saddles (never knew seat sizes) owned by friends.
