Same. I just started riding. Yesterday I learned how to attach the saddle so this trick will really help. :D
My western saddle is SO comfortable And without this video I wouldn’t have ridden on it so thank you very much
FINALLY. A video that actually showed the procedure. How many times did I watch, leave early, where the instructor zipped through it AND BLOCKED THE VIEW. Its been a while since I rode and wasn't an old hand at it to being with. But circumstances caused me to miss several years and I needed refreshing on the basics. Thank you for making this clear and not racing through the process. 7-4-1 rule, never heard of it but so helpful.
Thank you so much I used to ride English and I’m now riding western and i couldn’t get the not right your video helped a lot

Thank you for sharing this! I was asked to ride one of my friends horses while she is away in university...I didn't realize that she only rode western! -I have done english riding for over 20 years now so western riding is a different ball park here (mainly the girth part lol) This video was super helpful and a great way to quick-reference in case I forgot the "7-4-1" method!
I had to watch this 7 times over before going to horse camp, it's super helpful!

I’m a new rider and I wanted to commend you on your thoroughness. Your explanation of each saddle part and the saddling of the horse as very helpful. You and your videographer are great! Thanks!,
Thank you, I just inherited a horse after about 15 years away from them and needed a serious refresher course on the western saddle. This was perfect!
I haven't personally owned my own horse for decades (🥺) but I know these exact steps verbatim.. with my eyes closed.. in my sleep. Perfection. This is so satisfying to watch. If you're a horse person, then you know ♥️🐴
Last time I was tacking up my horse alone, I was very confused on what to do and how to do it. Especially with western since my saddles are really heavy. Thank you!! I’ll definitely pull up this video next time I’m tacking up alone!!
I already know how to tack up so idk why I’m watching🤷🏻♀️😂

I live about 20 minutes from sunset trails, I ride English, and I go to Star Time Meadows and my trainer is Jonni (Jonatha) Adams/Allen and she is a really good dressage trainer. I want to start western but the barn I go to doesn't have a western trainer and only owns one western saddle. My dad doesnt want to move barns because we cant afford it, the only reason I can afford lessons now is because my trainer gave me a discount because ive been best friends with her daughter since before I even started riding. I really like English though, so its ok.

Go to work on a ranch. Buck hay, milk cows etc. While doing that ride their horses and get your experience.
“Always tack up on the left side!”... me tacks up my horse on the right sometimes. I do both because my horse hasn’t had much work done on the right. I use it to get him used to being on that side.
We'll be sure to follow these steps every time we saddle up a horse.

The Jayhawk Club she showed her way.. u can do how u want of how u normally saddle up your horse
She said “This is one of the most important parts of the saddle” like 10 different times. I guess every part is an important part! 😂 I love it. Thank you!
I love how I’m here and know how to tack up correctly but I’ll keep watching these videos
Maggie: *explaining how to put the bridle on* Horse: *OMG PUT IT ON! I WANNA GO!*
This is the third how-to video I've watched this morning. It is the first one where the person actually knows what they're doing! Great video.
I have ridden English for a long time and am just now trying western so this was very helpful in learning how to saddle my horse myself

Love ur horse!🤠 idk why I'm watching I already know how to tack up😂😂
Also something that she forgot to mention in the video whilst synching up you should always make sure that your stirrup doesn't fall down when you're leaning over because it does hurt when you get smacked in the head with your stirrup I've had it happen In for some of you experienced riders also you probly of had this happen also I had metal stirrups at the time and I was writing in a barrel saddle
Switching from riding English style (Saddleseat & Hunter) to Western (TWH). This video was really helpful :)
I've watched this about 30 times and still come back to it because I keep forgetting lol
