Australian diplomacy too ‘cautious’ to have ‘full-scale’ relations with Palestine

Curtain University Dean of Global Futures Joe Siracusa discusses whether Australia would follow Ireland, Norway, and Spain after the announcement they would recognise a Palestinian state.
“No, I don’t think so. The Australian government will try and show a little independence from the United States, perhaps, but it’s not going to be talking about full-scale diplomatic relations,” Mr Siracusa told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power.
“Australian diplomacy tends to be very cautious, it likes to get involved in everything but not too far ahead of anything.”
