Australia’s ‘unplanned’ immigration population rise ‘concerning’

Australia should be concerned about the “unplanned” population increase, which will welcome the arrival of around 350,000 immigrants, says former Department of Immigration deputy secretary Abul Rizvi.
“One thing is the actual size, but I think the more concerning aspect is firstly, the increase was unplanned,” Mr Rizvi told Sky News Australia.
“Treasury was forecasting net migration 235,000, and it’s now saying it’s going to be over 350,000 - the unplanned nature of it is a problem.
“The second part of it that’s a problem, I think, is that it’s not predominantly permanent migrants coming into the country, it’s actually predominantly overseas students, and secondly, this may surprise your viewers that it’s people arriving on visitor visas and then changing status after arrival.”

It would be really nice if we Aussies could set an example of being one of very few Western countries that stands up to this BS and forbids any further migration like every other falling country in America or Europe. But no, our Government has been infiltrated by the enemy themselves and our population is blind; you'll get called a racist for pointing this out. In 20+ years we'll be more Asian than European FFS.

If you apply for a skilled migration VISA offshore (outside Australia) you can wait years for it to be approved. Arrive here on a tourist visa and make an onshore application, you get a bridging visa allowing you to stay pending approval of your actual visa, which could take years. Same has happened to Canada, our infrastructure is overwhelmed. Economic migrants "refugees", and tons of student visas, that take high tech degrees, get hired in Canada, and bring over their uneducated clan. So where it used to be a case where our immigrants joined Canada, these last 5 yrs its more like they come set up, and demand their culture be respected, and paid for here in Canada. Doing things like taking over public elementary school, kicking out all students not of their race, religion, and demanding their own teachers teach from home vs Canadian qualified teachers. So it makes it very uncomfortable. We are a nation of immigrants, but previously we worked together to be Canada.

Migrants come here from less developed countries to increase their consumption of the earth's resources, to increase their waste and their carbon emissions. If the Greens were even slightly green, they would have an anti-immigration policy.

Therefore, we have no qualms with claiming full Centrelink payment, because the Government has made the environment such that Australian companies, handed an ABN by the ATO, actively & purposely discriminate against those who will pay tax here, and hire those with international heritage, who likely won't pay tax here, and claim every bit of Super back, once leaving. The south Australian Labour Government moved rented Department of transport, planning and infrastructure houses onto house commision who actually says they are not there theirs but private rentals. They then contracted Hardcourts Real Estate to manage the properties. Hardcourts then serves notice to vacate the property say that they want to demolish the houses. This is happening at a time when it is almost impossible to get a house in the rental market. After the house demolished and the land is vacant it just sits vacant not for sale. There is hundreds of blocks of government land sitting sitting on the Labour governments books. To make the situation worse the Labour government then announces that the will increase migration to 400,00. This is just idiotic behaviour, families are financially stressed to the max now. This will not only push single wage families into homelessness, crime will increase most likely see an increase in divorce due to financial stress. This will no doubt will only ensure that inflation in Australia stay high for longer. more people chasseing limited supply of goods does that. I have lost respect for Anthony Albanese who crows from the rooftop that he grew up in a housing commision home, well Anthony welcome to a world in Australia where you would not be afforded that help in housing you would just be living in a tent. I'm not against migration but like many people have pointed out it needs to be alot tighter and much better targeted. These high levels of migration will continue to adversley impact the living standards of the majority of Australians as infrastructure and housing has failed to keep up with the rate of population growth due to years of neglect by governments (all sides). The social and cultural fabric of our society will continue to change (for the worse) as our largest cities have already formed large, ethnic ghettos where you have a whole underclass of mostly new arrivals who, after a few years will realise they were better off where they came from.

Infrastructure has failed to keep up with the rate of population growth? I have no interest in being taxed to pay for more infrastructure for the benefit of foreigners. Instead of 'keeping up" with population increase, reduce immigration to the level of infrastructure that we already have. It is time to stabilize Australia's population and make it easier for the descendants of the people who actually built Australia, to have children and pass on our own culture. Western civilization is the freest and best that humanity has produced. We should pass it on.
