Did you guys notice that as Derpy's eyes got worse she went further and further down the ranks of the races? She went from first to second to third and kept getting worse as time went on.

MLP goals: meet the parents - check RD becomes a wonderbolt - check CMCs get their cutie marks - check Scootaloo finally flies - *hopefully one day....*

And we still need elaboration on Scootaloo's family backstory, a story on what happened to Bright Mac and Pear Butter(Apple parents), alicorn starlight, story on how the 3 other princesses got their alicorn status, and maybe some _actual, visible signs of the baby cakes aging._

This such a MARVELOUS episode and yet Season 7 managed to top it Twice. Come on season 7 what other surprises do you have in store for us will.

Getting to know the parents of the mane 6 is always a treat! I like RD's parents, they are very nice and entertaining. Of course, after "The Perfect Pear" AJ's parents are my personal favorites.😁 It'd be cool to have a focused episode on Twilight's parents for a change. Yes, I know that they've been seen most of the time in the series and even had a speaking role in the S6 premiere but, I want to see a story that involves them and know what kind of characters they are.

We finally got the chance to meet Rainbow Dash's parents, Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles. Rainbow Dash was embarrassed by them, but she still loved them. The door and Scootaloo as a fangirl were hysterical. We all loved our parents and they will always support us 🌈🌈🌈🥹🥹🥹🤣🤣🤣

How large of an area are we talking about? XD

As a former service member, this is one of the military-themed episodes that's personal to me. During my boot camp graduation ceremony, there was this one moment when the local commanding officer allowed every family in the podiums to cheer, shout, stomp, clap, etc. to relieve their anxiety and stress from not seeing their loved ones for at least two months. This was the perfect catharsis. When they all calmed down, the rest of the ceremony continued without disruption and we all got to reunite with our families. In this episode, both Rainbow Dash and her parents were in the wrong. They both let out their emotions at inappropriate times and through disruptive behaviors. They did not take the time or effort to address those issues until years later (admittedly, Rainbow Dash was the only child and distanced herself from her parents at the earliest opportunity). And there is lasting damage from both too much attention (Rainbow Dash) and lack thereof (Scootaloo). My takeaway from this is to set boundaries with your family and friends so that your relations become mutual and prosperous instead of one-sided and toxic.

Been a while since this came out. But I want to clarify (24:00) that the show staff said Rainbow Blaze in the Equestria Games flashback was not her dad. I'd like them to use him in an episode though. Maybe he could be her cousin, and helps them come to the decision to officially adopt Scootaloo.

It's intriguing that Derpy started at first place and worked her way down while her eyes got gradually loopier...

For a while, this was my favorite episode of the season, and it's what made me declare this season as the best one yet.

Scootaloo in the beginning is the fandom and I love her cute tail waggle. The whole backstory is cool and strange but I loved to see Rainbow crack. I agree with her in full though it was great to apologize. The parents are a bit much.

Season 7 has just been so amazing so far.. I can honestly say at this point it is probably the best season ever. And we are only half way through!

In RD's flashback as a young filly, I'll bet those filly versions of familiar Wonderbolt members, Derpy, and Lightning Dust are only there because it's likely RD doesn't even remember all fillies she competed against those years ago. Thus, those familiar faces serve as stand-ins to those forgotten and have nothing to do with those competitors knowing each other for a long time.

Aw come on, not even the Australian bronies noticed that during the private show at the end, when rainbow dash went through the rainbow she came out covered in green and gold (which are the national colours)

I am somewhat a little peeved, I am with Scootaloo here, I would rather be humiliated and embarrassed if it would mean I could have loving and supporting parents. I just don't get some people caring about what other people thinks about you instead of caring about your family. I don't care what other people thinks about me as they are not as important as my family. Sadly and honestly, there are many of us around the world who's parents don't care and support for their children as much as they should. I cringe at the fact that people cringe at parents that show love and support publicly or otherwise.

22:39 That was not Rainbow's dad in the flashbacks in Games Ponies Play and at the end of A Hearth's Warming Tail. That was "Rainbow Blaze". Rainbow Blaze seems to be a mentor to Dash, according to his trading card, which calls him a "Dashing Mentor". His description is "Of course Rainbow Dash is a good flier. I taught her everything she knows!", but he has no confirmed relation to RD. (At least as far as I know)

I've also heard that he could be Dash's brother. I'm sure they'll tell us in a future episode. If he appeared again as recent as last season in "A Hearth's Warming Tail", then I'm sure he'll come back, maybe in an episode focused on him. But that won't be this season.

This makes up for Newbie Dash so much.
