It's understandable to cry. We've stuck by these girls for so long. Seeing them finally succeed like this is a very beautiful experience. Crying is, I think, a natural reaction.

This is the first episode that I cried at, the moment Rainbow Dash started singing at Scootaloo I just completely lost it. I couldn't stop crying for like ten minutes the first time I watched it lol. And now every time I watch it it still brings tears to my eyes. Weird how them getting their Cutie Marks affected me but not making me cry, them mentioning the fact that the Apple parents are indeed dead did get to me but didn't make me cry, but Rainbow Dash starting to sing to Scootaloo made me cry. I think with everything that the episode put in and then adding to Rainbow Dash Singing, Rarity Singing and Applejack singing to their respected sisters or sister figures I just lost it. And a great way to keep them still being Crusaders. I really want them to be called by the Map in season 6, that would be awesome! Great reaction. :)

I loved your reactions. I had pretty much the same, though I didn't shed a tear until RD said: "I'm so proud of you little buddy, you taught me a thing or two" amazing how a show originally meant for little girls can make grown men shed tears. Liquid pride or otherwise.

I love watching these Australian Bronies reactions because you can tell how invested they are in the show and the characters. This was a monumental episode too. All in all, MLP: FIM is not just a mere "kids show". It's a show anyone can truly enjoy.

I agree, they are truly invested in the show and while it may have started as a show for kids, it has reached out to everyone. It's a show that has made people laugh, cheer, cry, feel proud, to gain friends, and more. Any show that can do ALL that is truly a very special show that'll be long remembered.

I’m still kicking myself that I didn’t react to this episode. It had just come out and I was in the mall I worked at waiting for my now ex-fiancée to get off of work when I saw it. I get more emotional every time I see it and watch reactions and your reactions easily mirrored mine.

This my favourite episode so far (have not seen all of season 5), diamond tiara is shown much better, back story....sort of, musical, cmc, pip squeak and cutie marks obtained. Season 5 just kept getting better and better with no bad episodes at all (well except brotherhooves social in my opinion and maybe whatever's past episode 20). But this episode....my god .... how do you top this? In my opinion cmc adventures, lightning dust returns or a lesson on disability's. Liquid pride for most people here.....except me....and I have a lot of liquid pride.

I still love this episode and I will never understand anyone who doesn't (Looking at you Lily Peet). I know it could have been even bigger, giving everyone of the Crusaders an own, special episode with the Mark as the reward, but it makes so much sense to get them together, because they acted like a group since the beginning (to find their cutie marks) and they were definied as one. And that doesn't contradict the idea of a "special talent", because they have two cutie marks in one to be exact: one for the CMCs (the shield with the colours) and one for the special talent in the middle. And speaking of "own episode": all of them had one of those: Bloom and Gloom, Sleepless in Ponyville and For Whom the Sweetie Belle toils, where they all faced their different fears of getting a cutie mark and overcoming those fears thanks to Princess Luna (her best episodes in my opinion). So they all had a chance to shine and were ready to earn those cutie marks and this was one of the best ways to do it: to reform their long standing opponents Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon and to get the final piece of their Cutie Mark: the talent to help other fillies to find theirs (later reflected in Pear Butter's talent, where she helped Mrs Cake). Speaking of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon: it really came full circle with them. In the beginning, they were the popular ones and the CMCs were the outcasts, AB even lost her last friend without a cutie mark during their first real episode with all of them. Over time, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon lost so often against the CMCs or were put down, that in this episode, finally, they were the ones without friends, losing even eachother. Blaming it on a dominant mother was a clever idea, but it puts a bad light on Filthy Rich, who wasn't really framed as a bad pony until then. But when he is the busy and successful one, he might not see the big picture. I really hope that we get some follow-up episodes with the CMCs and especially with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, so they can really earn the reformation and redeem themselves for the last couple of years. Well, maybe in Season 9 :P

This reaction was even better than the finale reaction I wasn't prepared for how emotional you all got during Diamond Tiara's song I even teared up during it too lol This was definitely worth the wait!

I saw the CMC get their cutie marks...I was so proud of them, Fluttershy, my older cousin, writes to me about them and her friends and told me how hard they work their flanks to get their cutie marks. I cried when I saw them get their cutie marks 😂

But now every time i watch the old episodes of the cmc with diamond tiara with her bad behavior its all because of her mother doing. So i hope i can see more of diamond tiara in season 6 and the cmc

What helped really bolster this episode was that the ending was kept secret from the fans. It wasn’t ruined like Princess Twilight was.

I loved this episode but, I remember when I first watched it a couple months back, this scared me a little. With Diamond Tiara finally realizing the error of her ways and the Cutie Mark Crusaders finally getting their cutie marks, I thought they were tying up loose ends to end the series with season 5. Luckily, season 6 is looking great as always! BTW, are you guys planning to watch any of the Equestria Girls Films?

That was one of my LEAST favorite episodes of the show at the time. I hated their Cutie Marks design (and it never really grew on me, I just accepted their existence), and was sorta skeptical about CMC definitive arc. Well, you know. Time passed and now it's my "THE most underrated MLP episode ever". I like it so much more now. Besides, just look at how this episode makes people so happy! Swee-eet Celestia!

I can't like this episode and it is for a good reason: 1. DT's redemption was too quick Yes it's a kid show but being disabled myself I can't forgive DT for making fun of Scootaloo like that in order for me to fully forgive her I needed a nice DT episode. 2. Cutie marks are a tad awkward I dunno what it is but it doesn't suit them then again it may just take time to get used to them. 3. Only 2 of the songs were useful for plot (vote song and DT's song) I just think they could have done better in this episode. I was looking forward to reacting to the whole of S5 sadly Canterlot Boutique is where I started getting these negative feelings from the show doing things just to get a reaction like the fat pony at the end of Canterlot Boutique. This is my favorite season list: Season 2, Season 4, Season 1, Season 5 and Season 3 While the first half was good the rest of the episodes either get resolved too quickly or were just awful.

+KanaTokisho 1. Actually, the foundations for DT's redemption were laid back in season 4. Two episodes in particular: Pinkie Pride, where we received evidence that the relationship between DT and SS isn't as solid as it seemed to be. Twilight Time: Where DT was actually nice to the CMC, even if it was for a brief period. And don't worry, I've accepted DT's redemption, but I also need her to apologize for what she said to Scoots before I forgive her completely. I accept her redemption because she did stuff to earn it and make me want to like her. 2. The colors in the back of the cutie marks are the CMC's hair colors, so it works for me. 3. Actually, every song served some kind of purpose, either in terms of plot development or character development. I personally loved this season. My ranking is: Season 5, Season 4, Season 2, Season 1, Season 3. I actually think that the second half was much better than the first half.

funcoolfunfun I can understand but besides Twilight Time (where she had a clear reason to be nice) to me it's a big deal I don't think we should tell our kids that through a song you can change the bullies it seems too quick and easy. Bullying is quite serious and to be honest I liked DT being a bully it made Equestria seem more real than this place where everything turns out okay. Then again I can understand why they did it because the show is for kids.

KanaTokisho The development for DT in this episode in particular started more or less with Silver Spoon's speech to her, and didn't end until after she said the line, "It's your cutie marks! They're amazing!" So, it wasn't really too quick and easy As for DT being a bully, honestly I'm glad they ended that. Not only did I hate her, but there was really nothing else they could do with her character at this point. Plus, there are still plenty of unredeemed a*holes in the series, so losing one doesn't hurt.

funcoolfunfun She gets changed in like a day maybe 2 I had bullies I don't remember them being nice to me after two days. Aholes are different from bullies the reason why DT felt real to me is because she wasn't a nice character she was different she didn't have to be all friendships and rainbows. Same with Starlight she was unique and different even Starlight's redemption was forced and rushed like hell. I don't think kids will be sad if a pony doesn't want friendship or if they never change like I said though I'm not too upset at it. I can understand why they can't do it though it's just an opinion and really I don't think it's anyone's fault that I don't like the second half I think all the breaks and pauses between episodes just got me not into the mood of the show.

KanaTokisho The series has always been weird about time scales. Very rarely does an episode have a definitive time frame. There are only a few episodes in which the length of time between the beginning of the episode and the end of it is clearly defined, and there are only two I can think of at the moment: It's About Time and Pinkie Pride. DT didn't really feel real to me until after her redemption. When she was introduced, she felt like a generic bully. As time went on, she got worse and worse. CotLM gave her depth and made her feel 3 dimensional. As for Starlight's redemption, I'll grant that it was somewhat rushed, but it still felt pretty natural to me. It felt more natural than Gilda's redemption, at any rate. And while kids might be fine with characters not changing, remember that the show has evolved beyond just a kids show, and in fact I think that over the course of the series, the target demographic switched from children to teens/bronies. This is mostly due to how dark the show has gotten in comparison to the earlier episodes. As for the breaks, I can understand that, but there were really only three breaks: The first one was between Appleoosa's Most Wanted and Make New Friends But Keep Discord The second one was between the Griffonstone episode and Slice of Life And the final one was the mid-season hiatus.
