Oh yeah! We were excited about Franklin's, but Terry Black's was really good as well :) And we really hadn't heard of Guero's Taco Bar, but now we have a good reason to go back. We are always down for good, authentic tacos!! 🌮🤤

@@RuthandThomas We are well. Life (ie work) has been busy and so we haven’t making videos, though we plan to at some point. Nice to just watch others for now. Yeah, not sure when our borders will be opening, we’ve just come out of another lockdown. But yes, keen to hang with you guys when we can 🙂

So glad I watched this video. I have Veracruz during the summer and LOVED it. I just moved to Austin and couldn't remember the name of it. Lol the menu brought back memories. Yep, that's definitely it !

As a fellow Texan and BBQ connoisseur, I do not understand, why you eat before you go to a BBQ place? No one goes for a rib and dessert. I'm glad you found Black's my favorite.

Tried Summer Moon’s Iced winter moon latte and I will never be the same again! Now I just need them to open a location in Colorado haha

AS YOU SHOULD. The moon milk is delicious and we have never been able to find a recipe for it (and we have searched a lot haha) And they have multiple locations for SummerMoon coffee, so you can hit them up even if you aren't in Austin!

The Summer Moon coffee looked like the best way to start the day. Those breakfast tacos looked so delicious & wow those ribs were so tender! So impressed with how many spots you guys checked out in one day. We loved your review of all these places. We are so hungry after watching this! Great video!

Hahaha yeah we hit up a lot more places than I think even we expected - and we were kinda lethargic afterwards 😆 But it was an absolutely delicious day. One of the best ways to get to know a new city is to try as many foods as possible, right?? Thanks for the support, guys 😁

Halfway through we weren't sure if we'd be able to hit all 7 spots but we hit a second wave and pulled through. 😂😂 We had a wedding to go to afterwards and even had room for dinner there!! Needless to say, we slept well that night haha.

Hello!! There are multiple Veracruz All Naturals, but we went to the one at 2401 Winsted Ln. It's a cute location with a coffee shop right next to it as well!! Definitely recommend.

Guys! This was great! More food tours please 😄🙌🏼 We were drooling over the BBQ meat espeicslly the peach one 🤤 (cant remember the name 🤭) Literally, as soon as you showed it we were both like: "Woah! 😲" You guys had a great mix of drinks and food. And honestly we would love to try everything! That lavender gin ice cream sounded so good (Ruth trying to pick up the flavour of gin when she doesn't know what it tastes like 😂)

Oooh yeah.. the BBQ was definitely one of the highlights of the day. SO GOOD. Haha glad you guys enjoyed this one! It was our first attempt at a food tour and it was SO EXHAUSTING. I don't know how you guys do it hahaha - Food tours are a great way to get a taste for the city and people, but Wow. We were very full by the end of it 🤣🤣 It was a very tasty day and we had a lot of fun! Here's to more food tours around the world! 🥂🌍 🎉

Hello to one of our favorite couples!!! Texas in general is one of our highest on our list to visit!!! I have heard a lot of great things about Austin!!! Did you guys run into Joe Rogan while you were there? World's Best Coffee, now we have to go there. Oh man, there is a ranking system now. Breakfast Taco in Texas are the best. I have had it San Antonio. I have not found any place like that here in IL.

As someone who does not live in Texas, I dream about Summer Moon and having some again quite often. (When I visit I usually stay in Dallas and it sucks having to drive to Fort Worth/Plano to get some… it evades me)

@@RuthandThomas ohhh okay that makes sense! :) We grew up in Houston area but were able to experience Austin for a few years while I lived there! Where are y’all from? I LOVE Kirby lane! There’s one near campus and we had to go back again while visiting (the nostalgia!) other than that terry blacks and a nice deli called fricanos (but I think it shut down during covid 😔) So glad you enjoyed visiting all the food looked so yummy!!😋

It was delicious! We're both from the midwest - I (Thomas) grew up in Wisconsin and Ruth is from Iowa, but we loved the 2 years that we lived in Texas. And yes! The food in Austin was absolutely delicious.. needless to say, Springfield, Illinois is not known for its exotic cuisine haha

Yeah!! Torchy's Tacos started in Austin, TX and we know so many people who still swear by it. I (Thomas) think it's fine for a taco joint, but my roommate in college used to work for Torchy's and always said he could eat a gallon of their queso haha

Haha I guess that’s how you pronounce it? I’ve never really thought about it, but maybe we should google a pronunciation of it and find out what their proper way is… and yeah, we wanted to leave room for BBQ and had already had tacos! (Also the main thing people talk about when they speak of Torchy’s is it’s queso, but yeah, it did feel a little like sacrilege to roll up to a taco place and only get queso 😂😂)

Fish for breakfast is a little strange! It just sounded real good in the moment. 🤤 And yeah, we probably should have checked Google. We just didn't think a restaurant would close in the early afternoon!

How can you guys be so fit and thin and eat so much?! OMG that was a ton of delicious food and drinks!!!!!! Got me so hungry just right away!!!! Please tell me you shout this in two days and edited as one day! 😂😂😂 I love coffee and I didn't use to like the cold one, but lately it has been so hot that I've started loving it because hot one is just no way to drink during Summer time! Would love to try that Summer Moon Coffee!!!! What criteria did you guys based your ratings on? It is just that you were enjoying so much most of them and then you gave a lower number than I was thinking you would and it got me intrigued. The ribs were the ones that got me most intrigued! They seemed to be soooooooo delicious!!!!!!!!! When the came right out of the bone my mouth had all the juices, literally! Well what can. tell you, we're having Ribs today! 😂😂😂😂😂 That's a heavy breakfast!!!! Breakfast taco?!!!!! Looked delicious though! Love tacos!!!!! After watching the bloopers, it is so funny to watch the Picnic Drink scene at the parking lot 😂 I like how you guys use inserts b-roll from movies! 👍 (I've always wondered hot does that work regarding copyright and monetization matters?). Right now it is so hot that I would drink that cold Cocktail!!!!! Because you only ate, you only are going to eat the Chips and Quesos , which looked so good! Loved the transition, specially the one with the hand! That was Really cool! Awesome that you got the meet youtubers! Hahaha NO! I wish we could say that we shot this in 2 days, but we shot all of this in one day! We had a wedding at 5pm so we had to drive to 7 different restaurants and eat at each one all before 4:30pm... needless to say, it was a very exhausting day 🤣🤣 And yeah.. I (Thomas) really like all of the food, and have a hard time being critical (I would give every place 10 stars if I could haha) - - but Ruth is a harsh critic 😆 and she said that, compared to other restaurants, some of the food just wasn't quite as good. But all of our grades were just based on our opinions, all of it was very good and came highly rated - so other people really liked every place we went to! And yes! The lavender and gin were such a tasty flavor combination! Thanks so much for the encouragement, Elvi 😊 And as far as using movie clips .. to be honest, we don't really know much about the copyright strike system - but we tried to use short enough clips that they are registered by the algorithm. We've seen other creators do it, but who knows.. maybe our video will be pulled down haha 😬
