Thanks, Kate, that was fun. I'm not sure if you edited it much but you see to be very efficient in the use of your hands . Also, most of us guys would just make a mess instead of cleaning up after each step as you have done!! Lesson learned.....

Could I buy just the ribbon motor section, so I could install into my own shell? I would eventually be a steady customer.

Hey there! I don't use this email any longer and so I haven't seen all the questions that have been posted. If you have any questions about the kit, find Rick Austin's email at DiyRibbonMic.com. He's very helpful and can answer any and all questions regarding the mic. Thanks for watching!

There was some hiss initially when I first built it, but I went back resoldered the XLR connections and it sounds great :) It's slightly midrangey, but that could be just how I tensioned the ribbon to get that frequency response. And midrangey isn't always bad if you're looking for a certain character sound. It's a great mic though. Totally worth the buy.

Nice! what's the peak to peak voltage coming out of the inducer? Also, why do you bother to use double leads on one side?

Man... I'm such a microphone nerd and have built and modded many mics. Where can I find a girl who actually builds her own mics? You're the first I've ever seen!

Non capisco il senso di questo video, non hai dato nessuna indicazioni sulle misure , da rispettare e neanche il tipo o gli avvolgimenti per il trasformatore per adattare l'impedenza del microfono, video veloce che non si capisce nulla o quasi. Boh!
