    Australian wagyu is great for weekly eats (if you wanted to and your wallet is pleased with it). A5 wagyu, that's like a one every few months for me. Not because I can't handle the richness, but simply because I want every moment of A5 to be special and not get habitual/old. Shoooot, there was a time I went a whole 2 years not eating Japanese wagyu and oh it was like the very first time all over again

  • @jakeMontejo3272
    @jakeMontejo3272 Жыл бұрын

    Agreed. Japanese A5 is too fatty & if you eat too many pieces, the richness fills you to an uncomfortable level. Australian Wagyu is a few notches below & allows to enjoy more time with your meat (pause), minus the level of puke.

    You can get A5 equivalent in Australia, anything MS8 or above (The highest MS scoring you can get in Australia is 9+) would be called an A5. Even A4 (MS6 to 8) can be too fatty to eat like a steak, A3 is just right.

    Flip meat to a new spot on the grill for a better crust, even on the same side if you’re going for grill marks, grill marks are even rather than dark lines and feint lines the opposite direction. Or no marks bc you should be doing a reverse sear, charcoal, then piping hot cast iron pan for a real crust.
