The AFL's video is full of "whoa, look at our epic sport, it's so hardcore and cool, please like our sport" that makes it seem LESS approachable. @calebpin2 жыл бұрын
Being counted as behind for grazing the post is what always confuses me the most. It feels like a communication error when the creator said "cleanly through the posts" for a goal because they didn't have video to decide close calls and they interpreted it to mean "no contact with the post AT ALL", and spend 5min of high def video replays and hot spot technology to decide if it was a goal or not. Come on Australia, lets fix this travesty against common sense. Through the big posts=goal, through the small post=behind, outside posts=miss.

@TheJaguar1983

@@comealongcomealong4480 So Royal Rumble is an annual wrestling event held by WWE. In the titular match(es) at the event (usually) 30 participants enter, one every 1-2 minutes, all trying (in storyline) to eliminate each other by throwing them over the top rope. It's everyone against everyone else and it is, in parts, like a chaotic all-in brawl, hence the reference here.

Fun fact; soccer did give you points for missing. Before the rules were agreed at the FA in 1872, Sheffield FC, the oldest soccer club in the world, used to play with "Rouges" that were either side of the main goalposts, and would be counted separately to the goals (like the Gaelic points system)

that video actually has less mistakes in it than the explenation video by the AFL ^^

I reckon it should be 9 points if you hit the post….it’s pretty hard to do that on purpose.
Best explanation of Aussie Rules...ever !!! 🏆
Basketball+soccer+rugby, that's the definition of AFL😂😂

Perfect explanation, but I hope you didn’t spit on your wife😂. Your penalty if you did, you have to cook dinner tonight lol

@@TheJaguar1983 Thanks for the explan. It sounds brutal ! but glad you enjoy it. Me, I like football .... but glad we fans don't have to witness the intentional brutality of past decades. Polly Farmer's health condition in his later years nearly broke my heart. And too many others. I miss Danny Frawley every season 😪
As an Aussie rules fan, I’m so offended…nah, love it!
For real BIG thanks for explaining that! I had been confused all my life till this vid. Now I know! 😂
Pure gold Jimmy!
Let's get jimmy in a team!
You forgot to mention that Channel 7 SA must dedicate at least 15 minutes of each news program talking about it. More if it’s in the playing season.
Now that was special…. 🤣 Go Pies!, 🏉🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🏉🍻
i was on exchange in Germany and explaining the rules to my class... drew the field on the chalkboard and someone said it looked like quidditch and now i can't unsee it cause it basically is quidditch, lol
That was a hoot
Someone give this man his own show😂
I was born here and I have never heard a more accurate description.
No inclusion of how old the rules are to rub it into the face of every other football code?

Yep, the AFL code is older than rugby!
Oh My Gawd you're SOOOOO FUNNY🤣 I Love your videos ❣️
Your "the guy who decides" clips are by far my favourite
Gee I wish you had a footy commentator from a small country town lurking in you somewhere😂
I love the blurry hint to the KZread silver plaque in the background. Well done, Jimmy.
The blowing bubbles in the glass of "grog" makes me laugh aloud every time :)
It’s what happens when there is no offside. Unstructured seagull chip fight.
Fun fact; soccer did give you points for missing. Before the rules were agreed at the FA in 1872, Sheffield FC, the oldest soccer club in the world, used to play with "Rouges" that were either side of the main goalposts, and would be counted separately to the goals (like the Gaelic points system)
Poor Jason…………..what a job.
I love your giggle and hoot vids
Finally, I’ve been waiting for this for ages!
You forgot the cold pies and hot drinks lol
Jason! Jason! Jason!! 🤣🤣
Love this jimmy! Keep doing you jimmy!
I love the bloopers at the end 😂
Can you do the guy who decides cricket
You sat there … LOL
jimmy takes aussie comedy to new levels... ... highs of course ;)
A hand pass? I think you mean a handball 🤣 GO NORTH!!! ⬜️🟦⬜️🟦⬜️
Looking forward to some of the reaction videos for this..love it.
This is excellent. I love it!!!
I knew it ! They were drunk when they set the rules for footy
Jimmy please have the guy come up with cricket also! Love your work!
"Not that pointy, Jason!"
100% correct
