Love your NEW blonde highlights and haircut!! ❤❤ I'm definitely going to be buying the Aussie Instant Freeze hairspray. It's WAY less expensive than the Bed Head Hard Head hairspray. Plus, it doesn't hold my hair in place that well. And I even have the EXTREME HOLD formula. Good to know that Aussie went back to their original formula. 😊😊

I've been an Aussie fan since i was young (53 years old now) I've religiously used Aussie Moist and the 3 minute miracle. Definitely inspired my children by staying brand loyal because thats all they use now for their families ❤ I remember as a teenager Id have cans of their Freeze rolling everywhere in my car and my friends would give me grief over it 😊 I sported the "Roxette" pixie back in the 80s.

Thank you for going through all that effort to test the new formula. To be fair though, the hair you test must grow from your scalp in exactly the same direction to get the best results. One can’t grow to the left, say, and the other to the right or naturally stand up and not bend either way. All things must be equal. I had a Bed Head spray that must have leaked overnight. It fell in the rim groove and dried hard as a rock. It came out of the nozzle too, like sticky goo!! And I put that stuff on my hair?! UGH! It was clear with little bubbles in it! Can’t we find a healthier spray than that?

OMG that makes my day because I had three cans. I was stingy with them and I’m almost out of my third one and I didn’t know what I was gonna get. Lol now I know thank you.❤❤❤

Thank you to those who confirmed that it actually works like the old formula did. Anyone else seem to think it works just as good? I didnt notice any shine difference. Totally agree that its good they took that oil out. I feel that was what was ruining the hold. I wish I would have thought about taking all the cans I bought back.. I was so in shock I didnt even think about doing that.

Great comparison video! I have the Instant Freeze after you recommended it, but next time I make a purchase will go to the “new/old” Aussie! So glad they brought it back!

So, the first thing I did when you put out the short that it was back…..was buy a can and compare the ingredients with the old formula….thats when I noticed the jojoba and the other extracts missing. But ….that being said; I have to say that the “new” old formula really is just about it, and it’s great!! It holds my hair just the same as Aussie Instant Freeze always did!! I’m VERY pleased with it, and if Aussie were to have gone right to this formula and skipped that horrible “water” formulation; I honestly would have never even noticed the change. At least not with the performance of it. I may have thought the fragrance had changed; but like you, I like the new fragrance better anyway. All in all; I’m very happy it’s back to this now, and I am back to my Aussie Instant Freeze!!!!Thank GOODNESS!! 💜

I am so glad to hear this! I've been buying the old cans off of Ebay and Amazon. As the supply has shrunk of the old formula, the price has risen to $20 per can! I''ll try a new can and I'm cautiously optimistic.

I was recently cleaning out the kids' bathroom since they never throw away empty bottles/containers. I found an almost full can of the original Aussie hairspray. It's now in my bathroom since my daughter has moved on to something else. I'm glad to hear the new "old" one is good.

I have been using this for a week. I watched your video on this and I found the new formula. I have used Tresseme for about 35 years. I think Tresseme changed their formula. Since I have switched to Aussie my hair looks wonderful. I think it washes out easier than Tresseme. Thank you for this video :)

Thank you for your thorough testing and review. I wrote Aussie early on, and they responded by telling me that their new water formula was superior. I felt like they didn't listen to me or appreciate my opinion. As a result of your efforts, several others reached out to Aussie customer service. Eventually, they must have acknowledged the overwhelming volume of our collective voices and returned the highly effective ingredients from the old formula to us. This product, in my opinion, surpasses all others and comes at a price comparable to a drug store price. What could be better?

Thank you!!! I thought it was my hair (thick and turning grey). I have used Aussie for YEARS! When they came out with the water under pressure my search was on! Back in the 70’s we could get laquer and dilute it. Worked great! I can’t find it now. Thanks for letting us know Aussie is back. I found the water spray smelled like bathroom disinfectant.

Sharalee, this was GREAT!! And, let me just tell you, I LOVE your hair color!! I am calling my hairdresser tomorrow cause I need a little more blonde and I tried growing my hair out this past year, but I am not happy with it! I think as we get older, shorter hair styles look better. I am ALWAYS changing my mind when it comes to hair!! LOL... Gonna run out and get that hairspray tomorrow too!! Hi Sharalee, dude here. Been using Aussie Instant Max Hold since early high school. Only spray I found that worked for the way my hair is (stylists say it's weird lol). Held all day long and then some without smelling too "girly". I have very long hair but I use the spray to style up the bangs and the top. Was super disappointed with the new formula, had to go through all sorts of other brand sprays and of course nothing worked. Had to reapply multiple times a day. Saw the new can at the market today and had to check and see if you said anything about it. Sure enough, you did! Many thanks. Picked up a bottle, wish me luck.

Thanks so much for this video. I’m wondering if you ever used the joico ice mist, non aerosol, which has been discontinued. The hold was amazing. Was hoping joico would bring it back! But so far, no luck. I will try the Aussie hairspray!

Thank goodness. I just bought two cans of " It" brand and it doesn't hold a candle to the old Instant Freeze. Instant Freeze has been absent from store shelves where I live, this the reason I bought IT brand. I'll be looking for Instant Freeze for sure.

I remember the grape scent lol. Weird that on Walmart site you can get the old one with Jojoba in it for about $34 for 2 or 3 cans. My guess is someone found it somewhere and bought up some old stock I was excited, thinking it was really back the same until I saw your video. But I will be ordering a can. THANK YOU ❤

Love you hair regardless. Haven't seen the Aussie hairspray here in uk so just to mention the Tresemme hairsprays have the same first ingredient (not water). I use level 3 and 5 depending on weather. Incidently your lipstick looks like it would last all day so any chance of a dedicated video with best/worst for staying power. Thank you

I found the New (old formula) Aussie spray and really like it. Now, what retailer has the Enjoy Dry Wax?

I really hope it's back since I just got a can. Old school goth here....if you really want it to freeze or spike you have to spray it then hit it with the hair dryer.

A year ago when they wrecked the formula I was using for 20 years, it was terrible, the closest one I could find that wasn't incredibly expensive was "John Frieda's Hairspray"....The formula was SO bad that I KNEW they had to change it back...and I just randomly at a Fry's store (Kroger everywhere else) just looked at the ingredients on the Aussie Instant Freeze, and low and behold it as changed (MOSTLY) back...Apparently I wasn't the only one to notice, it flew off the shelves for a couple weeks a bit hard to find, but now it's in stock all the time, thank god.

Can anyone tell me, I recently noticed dry flaky stuff in my hair, scalp, so I bought head &shoulders now, but is it just dry scalp or dandruff?? I never had dandruff so I don't know what it is!? I'm 68,I have been using rosemary oil on parts of my scalp because of thinning around me too, crown?

Do you know whether this formula is available in the UK?

Any thoughts on the non aerosol freeze spray?

I found a NEW Replacement for Aussie. Still not finding it yet in store and I don't trust online to send the right one. I found BTZ( beyond the zone) Frozen Stiff. It literally works better than Bed Head and maybe Aussie. You can enter a wind tunnel. It smells like citrus, does have some simethecones in it, but leaves the rest way behind in holding power $10.99 at Sally's ❤

So the new-old(ish) formula with alcohol is definitely better than the temporary water based one. But I’m finding that the new formula causes flaking. The old-old formula with jojoba etc. didn’t do that. Do you have any recommendations for any post-hairspray moisturizing mist or some other techniques to avoid the flaking caused by the new formula? Aussie instant freeze’s hold is still better than anything else I’ve tried so I don’t know if switching brands is the right solution (unless you have other recommendations that have similar hold to Aussie instant freeze maximum hold).

I went out and a can at a local grocery store. Walgreens didn't have it out yet!

Just had a chat with Aussie & they are sending me a coupon for 9.00! This is for the new formula that’s junk!!

By the way...I did call, complain and write reviews. Power to the people!

Did you notice the can is matte compared to the older can which is shiny?

I just bought some from Amazon and it does not spray like the old one. It’s spraying like a white foam and leaving my hair feeling wet and weighing it down. Not impressed. Water was listed as 3rd ingredient too

Do you get concerned about the overall damage of your hair especially as we age? Just curious. 😊 my hair would all fall out having so much very frequent bleaching done to it. I think you would look so pretty with your natural color, you are beautiful regardless.

I do not like a company that cuts corners on quality by watering down products...nope not buying their crap. I had been using that hair spray for years...never again. They are still deleting ingredients!!! No no no ...not gonna work with me. When I realized I was spraying WATER on my hair I threw away that crap and switched to Tresemme and love it. Never again Aussie...you will never rip me off again.

I was thinking about ordering some Seint but stumbled on your review and I felt you looked better with whatever you were wearing in your previous videos. So I think I will not order. If YOU felt it was showing some roughness on your beautiful skin I at 76 feel I would be making an investment I would not be happy with. Plus like you said that’s a lot of work with all the lines etc. on that same video you quickly mentioned a foundation you loved but I could not pick up what you said. So what is your favorite liquid foundation and do you have a video where you review it? Thanks for answering and providing the Aussie link. I have a hard time finding hairsprays that will hold. Kenra ruined their holy grail Volume Spray 25 recently with a new formulation. The scent is the absolute worst, you smell it all day and the hold is abysmal. There was no warning, no sticker to warn customers, just changed. Very bait and switchy. I'll give Aussie a try. Thank you!!

Depending on your hair type. . .maybe try using some oil on the mid lengths and ends and brush through your hair. Then do a light mist of the hairspray. Make sure to choose an oil for your hair type and particular hair needs. OR you could try using a more moisturizing shampoo and conditioner set. You have to consider what style you're trying to achieve and how your hair reacts to certain products and styling methods. I hope this helps!
