Aurora - I went to far (live at honda stage). A song about not getting lost in order to please others. Turn to people who accept you for who you are. Or "Lucky" Aurora's Anti-Suicide-Song. She wrote the song when she was just 9 years old. The point is that when you find yourself in a low point, you should remember the beautiful things again. And even if it doesn't look like it for a long time, nothing is infinite and even the worst of times will pass at some point. Then you will be happy to be alive.

I don't know of any other current artist who is as mesmerizing in performance as Aurora. Next take a look at an upbeat Aurora, interacting with her audience, smiling and dancing with joyous abandon. Either "Conqueror" live from the Honda Stage or "Daydreamer" live from the Albert Hall Manchester (2019) and you will enjoy how versatile she is.

Aurora is fantastic, and I am loving your reactions. Aurora was 21 when this concert was aired in December 2017, and the whole thing is a masterpiece. The Nidarosdomen Cathedral at Trondheim in Norway where it took place is the northern most medieval cathedral in the world, and has been the setting for the coronation of Norwegian kings for hundreds of years. I would love to see you react to more from this concert; especially "Lucky" which Aurora wrote when she was just 9 years old.

Aurora is the total package - singer, songwriter, musician, dancer, producer/arranger, choreographer, and an absolutely lovely human being (and she’s just 24 years old!). She will often perform her songs quite differently - sometimes with her band, other times stripped down to just her and one instrument, a cappella, with full orchestra, etc. - so it is definitely worth listening to different versions of the same song. Also, some of her videos are mini-masterpieces as well. A short list of original songs: (you may have reacted to some of these already). Runaway - Nobel Peace Prize concert and her music video Through the Eyes of a Child - Nidarosdomen concert, my recommendation Live Stripped - VIVO UK Lift: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dXqup9qOfpS0aKw.html It Happened Quiet - Nidarosdomen concert, but I'd recommend the live at The Current version as well: kzread.info/dash/bejne/a4lhsJiFod3KebA.html Churchyard - Live on KEXP Winter Bird - Nidarosdomen concert and her music video Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1 - Nobel Peace Prize Concert Lucky - Nidarosdomen concert Little Boy in the Grass - Nidarosdomen concert The Seed - Music Video, HAIK Concert The River - Music video, Live in Bergen 2020 Exist For Love - Music video, Daydreamer - Music video She also does some awesome covers: Life on Mars - David Bowie Believer - Imagine Dragons God is a Woman - Ariana Grande Across the Universe - John Lennon Teardrop - Massive Attack

Had to sub. I can see it in your eyes. We who love music, have spider-senses that we do not have to show the world (chicken-skin and all hairs on the body raising as if we are entering "fight or flight" mode via our reptilian parts of our brain that takes care of reflexes). It overpowers our more modern ideas of "genres" when watching/listening to something unfamiliar. Music is one of the few arts that sometimes can tickle that very old and never used parts of our brains. KZread is filled with reactors these days. Some dude is semieducated on the drums - so as drum teacher he rips apart an amazing performance by Steve Gadd. Some girl is a vocal coach - who will instantly go frontal lobe over-analysing the techniques used by Simon And Garfunkle harmonising in "Bridge over Troubled Waters". Some dude has a literary degree and will instantly flex his super-powers of rapid poetry analysis. All frontal lobe stuff. Music sits in the invention of our spinal cord - a ca 500 million-year-old invention. It does not care about jazz of rock or blues how we analytically have grouped music. It does not care too much about "easy listening" or even "pleasant sounds" for us who may dive deep into hard rock/progressive jazz working with even atonal concepts and odd-number metrics and poly-metrics. We have this inner voice saying "this is good" - and while a decent dude with a degree in music can try to convince us that we love it because of the genius "drop into a D-minor on the bridge" of some random song they analysed - that is frontal lobe analytics known for centuries because of science. There exists a video of Aurora performing this song on a Chicago stage. It is a terrible shaky mobile phone recording with the sound quality one get from a bootleg. Around 20 seconds into the song there is not a single voice to be heard on that recording. A thousand? people in Chicago (of all places) goes so silent that I bet the phone-camera would pick up if someone shed a hair dropping to the ground. I have been on a rock-club in Chicago - and the chance of absolutely everyone shutting up at once lasting several minutes during a night out and having fun in Chicago is impossibly low. It is amazing.

This is one of my favorite songs of hers. "It happened quiet" in this consert (she changes them up each live performace) is my absolute favorite though. I'm new to her too, but i can listen to that song and get chills every single time. Especially the rendition in that consert. Her words are simple but her performance is everything for me.
