Oh man.....I need that in my life. Like....genuinely deeply _need_ that in my life. There's so many facets to her personality....and it's nice when she has longer conversations, because more of those sides come out. She super funny, very dry and witty and sarcastic. And she's whimsical and all, but she can also be quite serious and wise. I think if I had to sum her personality up I would say she's the opposite of oblivious_ if that makes sense. She's very very present and aware. And people like that tend to be very interesting to listen to on something like a podcast. idk....I'm rambling, only because I love your idea so much.

She has an idea. That's why she keeps doing it, even though it's against her nature as someone who is intensely shy. You are seeing AURORA, the performer, rather than Aurora Aksnes the quiet girl who goes home to her apartment, breathes a sigh of relief, and spends hours and days and weeks quietly painting or writing poems / songs in her little notebooks, recharging from being AURORA. In a way AURORA is as much a construct as Lady Gaga (Stefani Germanotta's alter ego), but one that is much more... open? As in, Lady Gaga is a total constructed persona while AURORA is Aurora Aksnes opening her soul in a way not natural for her but it is her purpose?

she would be such a good therapist, she’s just got that calming nature about her and she’s such a great listener.

Cure for me is so meaningful to me, because it sums up a process that I have been going through the past years. I am autistic and as a child I had constant therapies and I was always practicing something like saying no, talking to strangers, etc. I always thought I was going to therapy, because there was something wrong with me I needed to be cured of. I went through a lot of bullying and this mindest made me think it was my fault. But so much has changed. I accept myself now, and respect my boundaries. Therapy is now a place where I can learn to communicate these boundaries. I have never been healthier in my life.

lol....I love this comment. I assume you watched her livestream concert thingy she hosted in the midst of covid? Where she interviewed various artists she likes....and then had them perform? That was everything to me. So inspiring/intimate...but also so funny. Her dry humor is the best. She'd give some really inspirational heartfelt speech, talk to an amazing artist, and then start the next segment by saying something like "howdy motherfuckers...welcome back to my house. it's me...in da house." She's legit funny....and it's underrated.

Aurora said once that she is more like Dumbledore than like Luna. The way she said "very good" in the beginning of the tutorial reminded me of Dumbledore. 💔♥️⭐🐱😘🌜🌚🦋🌾💚🌻

This is like the best talk show that doesn't exist. I love everything about this.... Aurora has such a dry sense of humor...people miss that about her sometimes. And it was really cool to have this be so intimate...with her and her sister just vibing off each other. Aurora is such a real human being. Hyper creative and motivated and going for her dreams to the nth degree....but also a humble real honest chill human being. Her existence alone is inspiring. Her artistry on top of that is magic.

Beautifully explained.. AuRoRA is uniquely expressive and her art is just wonderful. She's a deeply emotional lass with lot's of thought's and opinions that express self worth and loving who you are and not letting other's negatively push you to change who you are.. As a female i understand the power of inner strength and positivity in both thought and self expression. Always be yourself, what other's think of me is none of my buisness but what i think of myself is everything..

6:42 lol....the way her sister laughs and looks at Aurora....reminds me of this article I read once about Aurora. It was from a Norwegian magazine. And the author interviewed lots of people close to Aurora. He asked them all....what's the one thing about Aurora that most people don't know or realize or understand. And apparently they ALL said....she's the funniest person we know, she could legit be a comedian. Couldn't agree more. I just love how dry and ironic her humor often is. And sometimes a bit dark too....which I also love.

I am wondering if Aurora would like to be guested on "Sesame Street" or any kid's show. She's a good host and you can see that she is educating the audience.

She is very human. She works very hard at being AURORA for her fans. It is not natural for her at all (she is very shy and introverted in real life), but she feels it is important, part of why she exists on this Earth.

Everytime Aurora is talking i feel like her voice gives me that calmness that i forgot what is happening in the world today in these difficult times.

Please don't stalk her. Aurora Aksnes is a very quiet introverted person who needs a lot of quiet time to recharge between performing as AURORA. It's okay to approach her while she is AURORA, she understands that and is happy that she has that effect on people, but when she's at home just bopping to the grocery store and such, just let her be. She needs that time to recharge so she can be the AURORA that affects so many people.

She knows. She has worked hard on AURORA's voice. In some of her early interviews when she was still using the little girl with butterfly pin in hair persona she used a serious BBC announcer type voice, but when she went for the more elfin joking approach to interviews, that's when she adopted the lilting half-Bjork half-Irish voice. I don't know how much she practices in front of mirrors with a tape recorder or phone camera. I bet a lot. She works very hard at every aspect of being AURORA, because as a deeply introverted person it is not natural at all for her, but it is important to her to connect with her fans and this is how she manages it.

I wish she could be my uncle too :(

I'm glad someone posted this video for posterity. I remember watching it live around this time last year. Man, feels so long ago.... I remember being super giddy when that countdown hit zero. @@gojosensei6501 but there is no cure for adhd, the least i can do is go to therapy to know how to deal w the disorder. or i can take medicine, but i guess i only should take it if it's preventing me from being a functional human being, which i kind of am :).

Society has kindof made me into a fairly cold analytical person, i feel aurora helps me rediscover some of the child-like tenderness which was beaten out of me to conform with society.

I am protective of her because I know how hard she works at being AURORA, which is not at all natural for her as a quiet self-contained person in real life. But that is what she has chosen for her life, to connect with people as AURORA and do her part to try to make the world a better place in what little way she can.

There's nothing wrong with anything you have described and i understand completely your desire for an intellectual connection as well as a romantic one. You're certainly not a monster! The only advice I will offer is that people don't tend to open up so deeply until they have a deeper connection with you. Initial attraction will always be superficial. You'll never know whether you're intellectually compatible until you give someone a chance. In my experience, if you give people a chance, they may just end up surprising you.

@@igorignaz5319 Truly i am baffled what could be the source of this way of observing life. You mustn't mistake me as some hermit, living in a hut on a mountains. I live in a city, do work and dress up ordinarily. Actually im very into a fashion and beauty works, i would love to be a fashion designer but however im afraid that job wouldn't be as pleasant as it can be as a hobby. From the outside no one could tell that im still a virgin with 0 romantic relationships. I feel that part of my life has been wasted simply because i can't find just the right people: those who are both extroverts and want to go out and party, while the same time also deep thinkers who can bring new dimensions into my head, philosophical i mean. Don't be mistaken: i am not a smart person. In fact i never even went to high school. My brain works somehow differently so that i cannot learn complicated things fast enough, if they don't interest me that is. That most likely means that in IQ im below average in whole worlds population. But what i lack in intelligence i replace with imagination. I started writing books when i was 19 and i still love it. So far i have written 3 books that i don't want to publish because i know that they don't interest the majority, the fourth is on the way and many more. Before i started writing, i just didn't care at all about human relations. Human's were boring, that's it. I lost my last real friendship when i was 12 and that was ok to me. I liked to spend time inside my head. But writing and creating my own characters however change something in me. I started to create characters that were very interesting, deep minded, creative, philosophical, otherworldly and i couldn't but help to wonder, could people like these really exist in a real world. I started to search them from the abyss. I searched and searched and searched, and found...no one. Everyone were still the same boring ones with their small talks. I became depressed, feeling that they were there somewhere and i just couldn't find them. I wanted to be with them so badly and no one i could tell that, they would have thought that i was crazy. Now i feel better. Writing helps me in my loneliness but it can also be the reason to my misery in the past. I have few friends who don't bring much fulfilment in my life but i guess they are something. Im still trying to find another mind with life on it. I made this longer version only now because i wasn't sure if anyone would read my post, or if their reply would be compassionate or hostile. It doesn't mean much to me. Like i said, i have no idea why i don't want to be in a romantic relationship even though i don't belong into the A-group. There's no clear logical reason to why, all i know that I DON'T WANT TO. People keep thinking that im just shy. It's not true, im very socially brave person with lot to say but even if i would get a change to be in a romantic relationship with someone who's person matches into mine perfectly, i still most likely wouldn't. I don't know the reason and this most likely isn't common at all because i haven't heard anyone else in media ever speaking about it. I know that im going to die alone, but it's a small price for living through creativity. Creativity means more to me than humans. I never trade it away for any price.

Aurora there is life after death. You are a great singer and when you die, you are gonne but not forever, and then yes after death everything matters of what you did in this world
