Did your realize? The gift exchange is from the youngest to the oldest (the youngest has the second youngest, the second youngest has the third youngest…) and the oldest got the youngest ❤❤❤

Julie, you have the sweetest kiddos but they are in desperate need of having a doggy to care for. The 4 oldest children are all plenty old enough for the responsibility of taking care of a dog and if you don’t want to be training a puppy you can always adopt a rescue dog. If you get a small dog about 2 years old that is already trained then you won’t need to train them. It would be a short adjustment period to have the kiddos learn how to pick up after him, take him for walks and to feed and groom. There’s plenty of suitable breeds that are great with kiddos and very low maintenance. You would be surprised to see all the dogs that are surrendered to shelters. Having a dog develops compassion and empathy in children and teach them responsibility and respect for all living creatures. They also give so much love and happiness to their families. I really think you should give more thought to it. You have your own home now there really is no reason to keep saying no to your children.
