Melina Lindsay Stirling is an entertainer, good for getting people in the door. Augustin Hadelich is a true artist providing nourishment for the soul. If you ever have a chance to hear him live you will understand what I am talking about. I am a professional musician who recently hear Hadelich play in person. It was a transformative performance. First of all his technique is beyond perfect, he never misses but it is through his musicianship that he soars. He is a once in a generation violinist. Lindsay Stirling is a pleasant violinist but not the unique musician that Hadelich is. I am writing this three later and I imagine Hadelich is catching up. If not, all I can say is too bad for those who are missing out.

You need a truly supreme violin to make those high notes sound like this. You can hear the crisp clarity in each note. Of course, he's playing on a Stradivarius in this. He's also an astounding player

I always love everytime he plays Sarasate’s pieces. I feel like I could sense his passion and also sensitivity through his playing (alright, I hope it doesn’t too bizarre) And I guess what makes it more perfect is Eguchi-san’s accompaniment which truly show flair for both of them. Really hope they will work together again 🤞🏼

Augustin's version is more nuanced and delicate compared to Midori's but overall wonderful!

exactly why i can never say there’s a favorite interpretation of any piece. they’re just too different! so gentle, but not gentle at all, nah idk what i’m saying
