You must listen to his Paganini Concerto with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.....It was recorded in January 2020. Special treat in that he plays his new del Gesu violin for the first time in concert..... Magical!!

I saw him perform this with the Cleveland Orchestra in 2017. Outdoor venue with thousands of people hanging on every note. Breathtaking. I believe it was his encore. Afterwards the orchestra played The Planets by Gustav Holst and Augustin sat a few rows in front of us to listen. On my way out after the performance I was sure to shake his hand. I told him "Bravo!"

So far, this was one of the best performances of Paganini Caprice no. 24 i've heard so far. The notes were so clear and the tempi are not rushed. Just wow.

I love this performance. I never quite liked Paganini until I heard Mr. Hadelich play. Somehow he manages to conceal the difficulties behind a high musicality. Usually you get the difficulties thrown into your face and I dont like it. Wherever he is, Paganini is smiling.

You need to hear his Paganini Concerto with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra recorded in January 2020. Special note in that it is his first concert with his new violin .............. A del Gesu!!!! It is just magical. Performance is here on KZread!!

I think it's the first performance of Paganini I actually liked. And I listened to Hilary Hahn and Ray Chen. It just sounds difficult. Here it actually sounds nice.
