Auguste Rodin, deciphering a work: a seated female torso
While Rodin's most famous sculpture is undoubtedly The Thinker, I'd like to introduce this seated female torso, known as Type A, which we'll be auctioning on November 23.
This is the large bronze model with a brown patina shaded with green.
Originally conceived before 1889, the enlargement of this sculpture was made around 1899 and the bronze proof presented here was cast in 1986.
