AUDITION STORYTIME! (pt. 1)

People tend to only talk about their successes but I’m going to talk about my failures, lol. I’ve been through so many auditions I feel like I’ve seen ALL OF THE THINGS... so let’s break it all down and lift the curtain a little! It’s showtime💫. If you have any suggestions on what you’d like me to do next, please drop them in the comments below!

Because all I see is her being Captain Marvel. She’s so down to her, it just encourages me to smile in my own process for whatever I do in life. It’s really a journey that everyone goes through and it’s honestly just doing the journey and simply enjoying the process. It took her a lot of time. I seriously love her to bits :)

I think it had to do with what people interpreted as a hardline feminist, social justice warrior kind of attitude, especially in interviews. Social justice is important to Brie, but I think that sometimes she came across as cold, or aggressive, reserved, or even a little "high and mighty". I have always reserved judgment because we really don't know her or any other public figure. An interview or an article is a very particular medium which does not capture the same depth and breadth of a person's personality, frequently by design. I think the bottom line is that, whether it was by her choice or a consequence of her personality through the public media, perhaps Brie came across as unrelatable to some people and being unrelatable makes it easy to criticize someone. Brie even said so herself that part of the reason for starting the KZread channel was because previously she had held certain ideas about what was an acceptable amount of "herself" to share and be open about with the world and she is challenging herself now to try to be more accessible and vulnerable.

I'm not an actor at all, but did theatre in high school and a bit in college. The biggest takeaway was from my high school theatre teacher that told us that we would have to get used to hearing "No" more than "Yes". That feeling of rejection doesn't only apply to acting but to other parts of life so it's helped a lot.

I too think it's jealousy. I personally love Brie too. Ntm, all the people like Geeks+Gamers and Nerderotic who make countless videos bashing her, especially with their click-bait thumbnails come across, to me at least, as if either they're overly negative and trying to destroy positivity, or trying to hide the fact that Brie MIGHT be their celebrity crush (I can't say for sure, but with their weird obsession with her, it's hard to think otherwise).
