This is not a true story, but I was hanging out with this guy and getting ready to listen to some Tchaikovsky on my system. While waiting for the coffee to brew we discussed woofers and tweeters and agreed that composers are, in general, fine chaps. Anyways, the coffee maker beeps because it's done brewing, and my slow bloke of a friend doesn't hear it. His high frequency hearing is completely shot. So I blasted him with my .45 when the cannons fired at the end of the 1812 Overture. Honestly, he's better off now, especially since his nickname was Golden Ears. He was also my dad.
