Cool design. It looks like the 3D structure is copper electroplated? Smart using a low mass membrane with a longer travel distance for more displacement. I'm assuming the idea was to vercome the fixed travel restraints found in planar or electrostat membranes. Titanium plating might offer better low mass/rigidity #'s than copper. That price though... not in my lifetime...

thanks seen that driver !, not sure if that actually works so great, distance between driving points is rather large. might be efficient in the mid range there is where it ends im afraid. the 3d printed structure is only to transport movement from the voice coil to the foil. and it will do this in small places. not very uniform. the foil mightr be light , the structure is not compared to planar. the foil is also 8 times as heavy as regular foil for planars. still a cool concept. to bad i dont own a 3d printer :(

@@joppepeelen True, the whole moving unit might be heavier than in conventional speaker, and you are left with quite elastic membrane. Not sure if its perfect, but nice that we have some attempt to progress in loudspeaker technology.

Doesn’t measure well… but sounds great involving… wonder what’s going on?

Da er det rettet. Skikkelig sløvt å bomme på dette for en mann som har eid Audio Physic-høyttalere i over 10 år :)
